  • Awesome! I need to do that to my wife's car. She smashed out a light which was later replaced. Now she has one really good looking headlight and one that looks like crap.

  • Wow, great idea!!!! i wish i tried that on my Jeep before new headlights, does that procedure last? The light assembly i got on ebay pretty cheap but i do have a buffer and polishing compound and that seemed quick

  • @zxtenn It will often last a year or two.

  • i'm curious, when i buff my car after a couple rain falls the scraths reappear, so i'm assuming it will with the head lights?

  • @zerodegrees8 Depends on your buff job and what you're seeing. If you're filling with compound or wax that will weather off and the dust in the rain will deposit (especially on a roof of hood) If you're cutting through material to remove the scratch completely then there is no scratch to hold dust.

  • 1 person dont have headlights :D

  • Very helpful! thanks!

  • @gtfox85 You're welcome

  • Wow, awesome. Thank you!

  • @orimai You're welcome my friend! I'm happy you liked it.

  • Great vid, glad I didn't just buy a new headlight.

  • @darthantb Glad you found it helpful.

  • Excellent video

  • @kdotoh You're so nice. Thank you!

  • Mine on my Altima is really bad. There's even line scratches on there. SHould I go for 1500 then to 2200?

Can I use a rag? I don't have an orbital. Thanks

  • @Naturalhit Try the 2200 grit first and if it's taking too long for you then you can do as you see fit. Using a rag is fine- it just tends to make your muscles bigger though.

  • @briansmobile1 LOL... thank you for the respond.

  • Thanks man, I thought I would have to spent a bunch of money to fix this on my 03 Honda Acc.

  • @hazeces You're welcome

  • @briansmobile1 dude I fucked my shit up. I used the wrong sandpaper number I think I use 80 grit.... I scratch the shit out of one of my headlights. LOL. Now i learned I was suppose to use 2500... Now they told me im going to haver to use 800, 1500, 2500 to remove the scratches, and also get it clean. ;(

  • @hazeces That sucks man. At 0:40 I believe I said 2200 grit. ; )

  • @cannan891 cool.

  • Another great Vid man. Thanx for this tip. I had no idea this was fixable. My ass bought brand new headlights instead. haha. I know alot of people with yellow gunk on their headlight tho. thanx again

  • @xxlupilloxx You bet. Thanks for watch'n

  • That's a nice and effective touch up. Do you charge customers to polish headlights or do you just do it complimentary?

  • @aquario209 I usually find something extra to throw in for a customer. On this car I did an oil pan gasket and headlight resurfacing no charge. I was raised to go the extra mile.

  • @briansmobile1 what state are you in? It would be awesome if I could take my truck so you could check it out

  • @axobreil I live in the beehive state

  • @briansmobile1 Ah... I live in Texas! I finally got that truck I was telling you about! 2008 Chevy 2500HD 6.6 Diesel.

  • @axobreil Cool. My Brother lives in Texas. Scotty Kilmer is there too.

  • wow that came out really well ima have to try that on mine.

  • @chillincruisin My wife made me do hers after she saw this one.

  • if someone doesn't have a buffer or compound they can do it by hand with a damp cloth & tooth paste (Crest with tarter control) works good

  • @AdirondackNY Ha ha! Good to know.

  • GREAT WORK AMIGO

  • @1elAguila Thanks buddy!

  • Looks like 1 person didn't have a vehicle to do this on.

  • have u ever heard of using toothpast for the compound? ive never tryed it but ive heard it works to. great vid's!!!

  • @msgmonly I can see using a whitening type with fine grit. Thanks for the tip.

  • Good one, what kinda rpm is that thing putting out?

  • @pberglin 3300rpm, but with some time you can do it even by hand. I have.

  • nice

  • Cool, Love your info. Always right on.
