  • Cracking square cut

  • I love the Tapping of the bat on the ground in between shots

  • I have always believe that cricket is way harder than baseball. I am pretty sure you can hit a baseball quite easily if u r a cricketer, but on the contrary i think it would be hard for a baseball player to play cricket.

    cheers mate!

  • @botomofmyheart Hitting a baseball is more difficult. The bat is round, narrow, and the ball is thrown much harder. In Baseball, if you hit 3 out of every 10 balls, you are considered Elite, most batters hit around 25% watch?v=vYMhT_wgBwE .

that "sports science" crap is a fake set up.

mlb players couldn't even touch the first 3 slow balls, & then lamely hit to the same spot after that. cricket players adapt much faster to baseball than vice versa, because they use the same skills, & more. can you imagine asking a baseballer to catch a hard cricket ball without a glove? or, dealing with the ball being thrown right at you? no, i don't think so....

  • @townsvillefield

Baseballs are thrown and hit much harder, sometimes thrown as fast as 105 mph (169 kph). You also completely ignore the indisputable facts about the bat itself.

Catching the ball without gloves is impressive, but the gloves provide for some spectacular plays.

Looks like they did pretty good for their first time ever, as the Cricket player indicated.

Consindering BB players routinely sign $100-250 Million contracts, your statement about adapting is moot.

  • @townsvillefield Also, considering that in Cricket, the ball "can" be thrown at someone, without as much risk of catastrophic injury as BB, should tell you something.

Observe how fast the ball travels: watch?v=z4cynqVhj7s

  • @eaglemonty05 you don't know cricket obviously. the ball is harder & heavier & is caught without gloves. way more injuries in cricket.. here is one of many such examples.

We can swap injury vids, and players being hit by balls all day.

However, your unfounded assumption that Cricket has more injuries is without merit.

You may be a bit unfamiliar with Baseball, and the physicality involved.

  • @eaglemonty05 i've been around baseball most of my life. I don't have any "unfounded assumptions" I know from actual experience, unlike yourself.

cricketers keep playing after they get hit.

mlb player says he is scared to catch a cricket bal with his bare hands.

    you've got no idea!
