  • What is the name of the thing using to make the "chignon"?

    Please, help me!

  • @Yukiko992 no idea. I'd call it a bun maker. You can get those at Claire's and maybe on ebay

  • Not bad!!!:-)

  • This video was a great help thank you

  • Ready for Halloween now!

  • Luved it! What was that hair thing used in back?

  • I've only just seen this video but had to comment. You did a really wonderful job! As for the mean/nit-picky comments, absolutely nowhere did she ever state this was the authentic way to do a geisha hairstyle. It's just for Halloween and frankly looks a thousand times better than the "geisha" Halloween wigs out there. Also proper kanzashi can be very expensive so I don't blame her for just using what she had!

  • AWESOME!!!!

  • Thank you for sharing this *hugs*

  • You did a Way better job than I did! Kudo's to u

  • What I believe you should be doing instead of complaining is realise that this lady has gone through the effort of uploading this video and instructing during it for your entertainment, if she hadn't stated clearly in the beginning that this was for an event only then you would have a right to complain, but now it's just disrespectful.

Why not thank her for her effort instead. If you want to watch an accurate video, read the uploader's comment before watching. Thank you, uploader. Wonderful!

  • Fantastic try at Nihongami! Unless you are professional (or probably doing it on someone else) it is NOT easy! I have tried it and wow, I know! Great job for a novice. =D

  • This is GREAT, don't listen to the haters, I love this. :D

  • vaya tirones de pelo ahhhhh!!!!

  • Thanks for posting this video, it looks tho like ur trying to imetate a maiko wareshinobu hairstyle and not a geiko.. but ur good :)

  • Honestly, I think it's pretty damn good if you ask me. I actually would take some tips for this lol. And it's clearly stated for Halloween, there's no reason to get on anybody's case about it. Although I cringed a bit at the "chopsticks" hair decor, you all gotta admit, it's LIGHTYEARS better than some of the geisha for halloween looks I've seen before DX! Also more than hair, I worry about people's "costumes" lol

  • Omg! this hairstyle is amazing! and definitely catches the essence of geishas!

  • Thank you very much ! This is exactly the video i am needing , and what i am looking for ! You are very very talented !!! I'm impressed !

  • You are a great hair dresser. Thank you!

  • I like it! Very simple.

  • Not exactly how they do it it but a pretty good try. For Halloween

  • this is lovely but you might want to change it to MAIKO hair.. geisha hair is different completly. but still very good.

  • for haloween purposes only, this is actually a pretty good video, though I recomend doing it on a wig.Actually, the front isnt too far off how the style is really done.(proportions vary etc)The back is very different, but for a costume party, its ok.Kanzashii are many items from haircombs,to 2 pronged hair ornaments, long pins etc made of woog, celluloid, tortoise shell, bone or other materials. You cant just get those at Sally beauty supply, for Hween, u can improvise.

  • fajnie :)

  • good job honey, anything people share is wonderful xxxx thank you for sharing

  • Brava for sharing your beautiful talent and benevolent gesture .

    Vous etes tres Belle.

    Zlatno Srce, Fala Lepo

  • @stylizacje do u have english insructions, i love it and would use the style for daily regular use but want to try it first for this halloween its great. thanks for the video its great help but want to make sure im doing it right ^_^

  • Thank you ... I am planning to go as a Geisha for Halloween, I was worried that I was not going to be able to get my hair right... Now I'm more confident knowing now how to get the hair style down ...

@ AngelHaruna: They use wax/ pomade on their hair.

  • very cute geisha hair.

  • Geisha have many different hairstyles. Try to remember than.

  • Looks neat and really fun to do. I may wear Geishi this year for Halloween and will try this hairstyle. Thanks for the post. ^_^

  • How Awesome :O

I wonder how they could made this 150 years ago...WITHOUT hairspray and something O__O

She looks so cute with that hairstyle >O<

    Marry me <3333

  • How Awesome :O

I wonder how they could made this 150 years ago...WITHOUT hairspray and something O__O

  • @AngelHaruna They would have melted wax combed through their hair in order to hold the styles in for long periods of time.

  • @SecretAgentJimi You are very right. Some people are so mean, I'm sure half of these people don't even know that some kanzasshi are just COMBS and sometimes long pins with NOTHING on them.

I really enjoyed this because she took something hard and made it simple. Thank you Stylizacje!^^ Haters just wanna hate because they can't be as cool as you.

  • I cant believe people are leaving such horrible messages. She did a gerat job on that hairstyle, and clearly stated it was just for halloween. I hate when people think they know everything....Ever hear the quote, "If you have notting good to say, then dont say anything at all?....

Well done to the stylist, lovely Job, it looks beautiful to me :)

  • @SecretAgentJimi thanks for your support..I did my best and for the first time. It was strictly for a party :D

  • @stylizacje First of all, I wanna say congratulations! You did a great job! And that's exacly what I was looking for! I've got a Costume Party this weekend and obviously I rented a geisha costume so I needed the hairstyle and i have it now :) I just need to know the name of the element you use for the bun (in the video is in the 6:23 minute). Thank you so much. And I'd really appreciate a soon answer because I don't have time! Thanks!

  • awesome video!

  • ale ta szmula ma profil :)a co do wykonania to bardzo proste

  • This perfectly fine for halloween =) Real geishas use wigs shaped that way anyway.

  • i liked it very much. very creative

  • @shakiin000 sorry I hurt your feelings but this was just a Halloween costume!

  • @stylizacje Noo.. Japanese with no money in the past do improvise. We can use chopsticks too. Even today, you can simply use a pair of chopsticks to pin your hair up.

  • @shakiin000 Some kanzashi i've seen aren't two pronged. Some are just a straight wooden stick with a decoration at the end. If you don't have any sets of kanzashi handy, a chopstick would be useful. : )

  • @shakiin000 Geisha dont wear nano hana kanzashi is the maiko who does.geiko were minimal off kanzashi pins and combs. and she said dont take it seriously shes not a geisha stylist.its a halloween dress up..

  • @shakiin000 "westerners"? are you japanese urself? If not ur a westerner too.

  • pretty darn good if you ask me!

  • uwielbiam Twoje filmiki - hipnotyzują :)....ten oglądam już chyba 5-ty raz!!! Pozdrawiam serdecznie

  • Its a maiko wareshinobu hairstyle, not a geisha shimada. They are two totally different things.

  • @CamuiNanase thanks for the details but I made this hairstyle for halloween and just tried to copy hairstyles from pictures :)

  • This video was just fantastic! My aunt and I were thrilled to find it on our search for a real geisha hair tutorial. You have such skill and talent with hair. Do some more tutorials please! ^.^

  • @Lynllie thank you so much, it was my first video ever and made it for halloween :)

  • Awesome!

  • @kamikazeinsomniac I see nothing German in this hairstyle

  • @kamikazeinsomniac, yeah I agree. I think she did a really good job especially considering the model's hair type is just a little difficult to work with for a style such as this. Thanks so much for this video.

  • @kamikazeinsomniac when have Germans ever made something shitty?

  • @kamikazeinsomniac Dude... you know the language you've heard in this video ain't German, right? Right? No, you don't. and that's quite funnyXD

  • świetne robisz fryzury. Ale sama mam króciutkie włosy (ledwo co do ramion) i nie mogę skorzystać z żadnej z podanej propozycji. Mam nadzieję, że w końcu zobaczę filmik dla takich osób jak ja . :) pozdrawiam.

  • @izCiaa1 hej! na pewno będę coś kombinować, na razie mam problem z modelką, bo wszystkie zapuszczają włosy :)

  • @Chanceuse028 this video is called Geisha Hairstyle not Magda as Geisha!

  • bardzo pieknie!!! Greetings from Germany.

  • beautiful^^ loved it :D

  • świetnie :>
