its an ibanez SR506 its pretty good i guess, i want to get a spector soo fucking bad :S, ive played a 4 string its just the neck that makes a huge difference but i guess its recommended to start off 4.

@infamousinz Well yea the confortability with the neck is the #1 argument for not switching for a bass with more strings, and i'm sure your bass sounds good, but when i'll buy a 6 strings, I want one that I really like. For example, i'm planning to buy an Ernie Ball Music Man Bongo 6 Strings for my prog band, but I want a spector too for maybe another project in Deathmetal/ Deathcore...but I prefer death metal :D

@fatoujonny2 the clanking is from a boost of treble on the EQ...this guy either has too much treble or he's doing what most people that try to play bass way to fast do...they fret it and than pluck late to where it's just a bunch of dead notes...i love clanking sound...but it's only from high treble and/or pluck EXTREMELY hard...he is plucking a little soft..which keeps you from slowing yourself down

Incidentally, anyone who thinks that you can't get a good metal bass tone with a Fender must be new to this and still thinks that instruments should be chosen based on looks alone. Alex Webster used a Fender P-Bass on the first two Cannibal Corpse albums. Brian Hobbie from Internal Bleeding used a P-Bass, the bassist from Defiled uses an old Jazz Bass and I'm pretty sure Eric Langlois from Cryptopsy did too at one point.

Alex used a fender for eaten back to life and the butchered at birth album he also used it for a few song for tomb of the mutilated, but retired it after that during the bleeding he went with a ibenez 4 string and started to experiment with 5 strings bass, he records with spectors but plays live with his modulus basses. Haha what now bitches I know my facts about the band :p
