  • there were so many good underrated bands from this era. what a shame they had little or no radio play. the media was so/ is so conservative

  • Red Lion Leyton 1970: f5red off magnesium flares in a room that held about 100 people, also wore magnesium flares...We salute you.

  • brings back so many memories of my youth, met my 1st wife at one of their gigs, Cooks Ferry Inn Edmonton. used to follow them around North London. plus remember having to walk home through Epping forrest late on a Sunday night from the Wakes Arms.

  • I wanted to check out this original version after many years of listening to Iron Maiden's version. I don't like comparing the originals to the cover versions, but I have to say I think this version is awesome. So much power in the performance. No wonder Maiden decided to cover it....f'kin classic song this!!! \m/

  • good old classic rock, yeah !!!

  • Used to play at the Queens hotel Westcliff, loved them.

  • Remember seeing the original line up at the Dagenham Roundhouse....exploding dustbins...briliant......Also see them at the Wakes Arms on the old A11.....

  • My favourite Stray track. Del plays some wicked fuzz/wah.

  • Stray at Dagenham Roundhouse...superb

  • I saw Stray at the beginning 70th in a little village in Switzerland near Yverdon-les-Bains and got the one or 2 vinyls at home !

  • Great gig wasn't it. I keep on at Del to makea new CD of the old songs by the current line-up, as I think they sound better now than they ever did. Try and make the Xmas gig at the Wheatsheaf.
