Very hot girl!! Or, as exposed97 said 9 months ago: "The girls back in the 70s, 80s and early 90s were beautiful. But today they have a trashy and rebellious look to them."
I was thinking that due to costs involved with making two different 'Pepsi" designs that they would just switch back to that design entirely. That being said they can get away with that by charging more for the Throwback and never having it on sale.
To be honest, I can't taste that much difference. It's the new (or old?) can design that I like. I never could understand why they went to all blue. It's been proven in tests that given the choice, people will always go with red cans. Even if there is no difference between the actual drink.
i actually tried the throwback with sugar verison of pepsi and man it tasted so much smoother than the regular pepsi. corn syrup isn't sweet like sugar. it burns my mouth. lol
I just had my first Pepsi throwback. I didn't really expect to notice any difference between it and regular, but this is disgusting. I would almost say that it tastes like diet, but I think even diet tastes better. I do like the throwback logo though. Keep the Corn syrup Pepsi and go back to the old logo.
@Nineteen80s29 no its not you they changed the formula they used to have sugar in the 80s now they use corn syrup, the corn syrup has a higher viscosity and so the carbonation doesn't last. Today's pepsi "not throwback" goes flat fast and it doesn't taste as good.
Ahh o.k. I looked it up. it's not offcially illegal but there were so many lawsuits over false claims made in those kinds of ads that now advertisers pretty much avoid ever doing it.
There, there... Pepsi will be here for you... PSYCH!
You dumbass broad! It's sugar water! At least Coke has some real American culture to it! That brand has been around forever! The most recognized trademark in the world is Coca-Cola's.
I use to drink soda 24/7.. but one time I drank it, and it went down and burns my throat like crazy, i decided to stay away from it. Been drinking just water, juice, and milk for the past ten years.. mostly just water though.
sure looks like her. sounds like her too. but if new coke changed in 1985 that'd have made her 20 or 21, and this kid looks younger than that. but i'm not sure if she's talking about new coke or just a change in coke's logo. she woulda been this age about 1980, 81, no later, i dont think.
All pop sucks today and it is cause they took out sugar and replaced it with nasty ass corn syrup, then they hardly put in any carbonation and last they don't use glass anymore!!Pop sucks today!!
@ericnwren they sell it in glass bottles where i live, and at one of the mexican resturants they serve coke made with sugar cane sugar. sorry about answering an old comment.
I dont disagree on either point. The girl is fine despite dated outfit & hair. And even tho its been about 10 years now, i still cant get used to the damn blue pepsi cans.
....Pepsi sells more in the US and Coke sells more in Europe....you can always tell an American, they go for the Pepsi.....

Even in the early 90s, well after the corn syrup switch I liked Pepsi, but for some reason I hated it after they switched to the blue cans.

hey can they really do that!?!?!? I mean, I thought it was illegal to actually name your competitors in your adverts
thecoolwater 2 years ago
@thecoolwater
Not illegal, they used to not do it to avoid inadvertently giving the competitor free publicity.
ewd76 2 years ago
Is that why I don't see many of those kinds of ads around now?
Well it sure as heck wasn't illegal in the 80's, it's all you saw back then.
