• i went to the game

    best game ever

  • This was like our B/C team

  • at one point the coach compares argentina to mexico, thats shows you they do not new what there where up against

  • so who won the match i dont kno?????

  • argentina ofcourse 4-1

  • im guessing ur from argentina?

  • argentina beat usa real bad...3-0

  • while it was sad that they lost the young team still showed promise and you learn alot more from losing then you do from winning. We held off the better playes of Argentina including Messi and scared Argentina a couple of times. Of course had the more experienced team with Donovan, Beasley, Cherundolo, Dempsey and Howard we would have at least tied with Argentina.

  • See what happens when USA plays their better team, 0-0 babay and they were still missing some stars.....Plus USA had literally a couple of days to rest and prepare for this match.

  • True

  • lmao 4-1 LMAO!!!! ARGENTINA!!!!! june 8 2008 GIANTS STADIUM BABY!!!

  • Argentina handed their asses to 'em.

  • Go Bornstein!

  • Contract this Brazilian Coach - Leonardo Vitorino and win!!Brazil is the best!

  • It is alright, even though we didnt earn a point we played well with are C squad. If we had Donovan, Beasly,Dempsey,Onyewu,Howard,Bocanegra,Cherundolo,we would of advanced. We were better then any team in the group except for Argentina which it think we could of got a result

  • I was shocked by this. I mean, just after they win the Gold Cup, they come in last place in the American one. XD Uh, yeah. They need A LOT more training. American Cup has a lot more advanced teams. They could do better. They didn't know who they were up against.

  • We must continue to expose our youth players to higher levels of competition. That means these types of challenges are a necessary part of development of the US men's teams.

  • How come the US sent a B squad well not there full national team?

  • i know the gold cup is supposed to be the US's tourney but i think we should have focused on copa america more.

  • US started really well in the beginning and there were great surprises so I'm not that disappointed. Bornstein really held off Messi which was great to watch! It's good to have young players getting this experience because we have to think about the future of the national team.

  • yo for nvno1cat im argentinean, your retarted that was argentinas starters we came to this tournement stacked with world class player..it was the US who came missing alot of key players only about 3 starters were there from there great victory over mexico. i was surprised by the US and they showed their growth for soccer

  • hahaha mexico was not lucky against brazil because weve beaten them in the past few games..and whit all there key players..

  • rememberone13...the answer to ur question is a definate no...the us dont pay close attention to the sport where as if u go to europe and s.a. everyone is playing...plus the national and club teams of the usa just...well...suck

  • Although we dont have our A team and our special players like Dempsey, Donovan,Beasley, etc. we'll do ok.....although we might not win

  • well the match was a little dissapointing... however im proud of the younger players goin out there and workin hard in their first caps... unfortunate we dont hav the A TEAM but you know thats the way it goes sometimes

  • nah they were still good anywho

    especially Bornstein

caz he stopped Messi like a million times :]

  • This will never be your sport you don't have the heart or brains for it.

  • HAHAHA!!!! you suck Gringos 4 to 1 and it wasn't even the full Argentinian team, you couldn't buy referees this time.

  • Nope. No Beasley. And a win won't ignite Soccer but Soccer is getting bigger and bigger. US MNT has a bigger following then you think...

  • obviously, the US is not trying to win this tourney. they wont win it without the likes of EJ, beasley, donovan, hejduk, and others... this is a good opportunity for the young guys to get some good playing time and see what playing at the international level is like. i still think that they will do well, but they wont win the tourney.

  • come on boys!!! this is our time right here right now. Give Argentina hell. Show them what you are made of!

  • OH yeah!! that was a lot of "hell" in a little flame!! LOL!!

  • I'm a little pissed that some of our star players aren't playing. Oh well, we still have mapp and bornstein :) Hopefully, Johnson is playing, and if we're lucky beasley. Are they?

  • flame head true that!!!!!

  • No, it would take nothing short of the second-coming of Jesus being an MLS fan to ignite soccer in this country.

  • Would a win against Argentina ignite soccer in the US?

  • Lets go boys. I wish we went there with our A TEAM but its all good. Still got love for yah.

  • A Team.. pff get out of here.. you chumps aint ready for the south.. Argentina was proof of that.. and luck agaisnt mexico dnt count..

  • pff why don't u get outta here???
