Trex huh ahem.... My son just built an EXI 450 pro for a little over $200. My Trex 450sa cost me a little over 1K. This rebuilt one looks sweet and clean though. Btw, I wonder why my son's EXI is so much quieter than my Trex. Any ideas anyone?
@123mcguyver you can do it cheap.. but reliabilty comes into play.. by the time you factor in cameras, TX, RX, batteries, monitors that work.. monitors that don't work, cables ground station etc it gets spendy.. Stick with reputable stuff. FPVpilot*com mounts, Hobbywireless*com cameras and TX / RX and you will be happy .. go cheap and it will cost you glitches and crashes which in turn cost you money. look for a video called Oroville Dam spillwaythe end it shows my setup and my others as well
Total damage from falling 250'... both side frames (upper and lower),tail boom, main shaft, wood blades, tail shaft.. I bought a $49 EXI Clone as a parts donor.. Total cost $49.00 Swaaeet!!
Just depends how you crashed... I did my best to hit on my side with throttle hold and lessen the damage... Look them over real good... Rebuild it , fly it and see how she flys.... I used all my old bearings, blocks, motor mounts etc. I found the EXI parts were a bit flimsier... Test flight yesterday was real smooth... She's back!!!!

were any of the metal CNC head parts bent?
cos ive got a crashed metal copter-x head and i figure if the CNC parts are warped and i cant tell ,it would be crazy to fly them again,
how do you get round that?
