@marypoty2010 in order to understand this you need to understand the reason of god incarnating. God is mighty enough to fix every problem kill every demon and break every barrier without even trying but the reason god incarnated was to restore harmony and peace for his true devotees. There are some interesting similarities between Christ's Nativity and Krishna's altho there are key differences. Christ was born to a common carpenter whereas Krishna was born into the royal family. it is explained in the srimad bagavatam that Krishna is the supreme personality of godhead, he is not an incarnation of Vishnu rather Vishnu is just another of his expansions. The main point is that God is a person, that person or that personality is Krishna. Vishnu is just a maintainer, Krishna is not bound to any specific duties. He is causeless causation incarnate.
Also, Vedic literature is to be taken as fact not myth, this is a common misconception that westerners have.

There are some interesting similarities between Christ's Nativity and Krishna's altho there are key differences. Christ was born to a common carpenter whereas Krishna was born into the royal family. During Xt's birth Herod ordered the killing of the Holy innocents who while Putna was ordered the same; but Xt does not ever kill Herod but Krishna kills both Putna and Kans. Xt's purpose was for salvation to be given and to sacrifice himself whereas Krishna's was to kill the sinful.

Xt was conceived of the Holy Spirit without any human or carnal relation whereas Krishna's was. Devaki had 7 children before Krishna whereas Mary remained a virgin. Krishna is a much more lovable and cute character when compared to the serious Xt. such as stealing butter, and taking away girld' clothing but Xt throughout his childhood was faithful to his purpose, although he too would have had fun - the evangelists present Xt, very seriously in the way they write.

The word "Myth" is used by scholars as neither truth or falsity... It implies the relationship mankind had with their gods. The person who put up this video was right by not implying truth or falsity with the word mythology... Besides they are many "Myths" on this planet younger and older then the next one... Mythology does not always mean "false" but can also mean deeper truth. If you believe this story to be literal that is your choice, but even those who don't may love Krishna as God.
Thing about this: For some of us this story is above mere history and is universal truth, to lower it to mere fact is insulting to us.
