The diocese of Austin, Texas sent the Monsignor in for this debate but what is obvious is that they did not anticipate the intense theological or doctrinal nature of it thus exposing their spokesman. It is fair to say that this monsignor represents the spiritual level of most Roman Catholic priests because Romanism is a SYSTEM not dependant on Scripture.

It was the early Church (and its bishops), which pre-existed the New Testament texts. How could they decide what should form part of the New Testament and what should not, if they did not have knowledge other than the New Testament itself? It isn't the Bible that creates the Church. The authority was given to the New Testament by the Church.
