Yeah, thanks for the invite, but I don't really play online. The only time I hook up my PS3 to the net is when I have to download something. The Cagney update (with new cars) and the firmware update with Trophies have been out for a month, and I still haven't downloaded them. I need like a 30' ethernet cable :(

The Cagney update, as well as the bikes and all the updates from 2008 for that matter, are all free and are all required to play online. If your PS3 is online and you start to play Burnout Paradise, it will prompt you to download the stuff if you haven't already. The 2009 updates will cost money, and also if you download the entire game from PSN or if you buy the Ultimate Box version, it will already include all of the current updates that were free.

The pack with the hover car (the 88 Special) is the Legendary Cars Pack, and won't be out until after the Party Pack. The Party Pack is due in Feb, but no dates are set for the other packs. As far as we know, all of the upcoming packs will cost money.

Well I still don't know what xbox news you're reading, but if you go to CriterionGames (dot) com it's the official website, and according to that it is not free, and they are referring to both the 360 and the PS3 versions. You can also watch the podcasts on Criterion's official Youtube channel, "burnoutteamrocks" and see that they clearly say that it's premium (meaning not free) content. I think your source is misinformed.

Well read it again; there is free downloadable content coming the same date as the Party Pack, but the Party Pack itself will not be free. Neither will the Legendary Cars or the Big Surf Island.

Yeah, I tried to get on the other roof (actually *thru* the billboard) with several different cars, and kept landing on or bouncing off of those darned lights every time.

I finally did the last Billboard, last Super Jump, and last Smash yesterday, all while driving in Reverse. Thankfully I was recording, so I posted the video. I'm so glad to have all that behind me...
