  • Dawkins! Hell yes

  • I think sharks are amazing and facinating creatures :)

  • thumbs up for the jaws theme at 10:00

  • Read Carefully:

    1) They did not catch and kill this shark for the purposes of this documentary.

    2) None of the animals in this series were killed in order to be dissected; they died of natural causes, disease, accident, or were euthanized due to sickness and diminished quality of life.

    3) If you want dumbed-down Hollywood-style docs with the movie trailer voice overs, that's fine; but just because you didn't understand what was going on here, doesn't mean we're all similarly impaired.

  • Shark is the perfect predator.

  • I love that white shark expert/boat guy, genius.

  • I love the Italian researcher at the 22 min. mark "That's a pah-ty!"

  • LOL Epic fail at 36:45 A megladon 100 tons? Try half that. That was the worst blunder of all these shows.

  • @Spud13ify The current general consensus is that C. megalodon reached lengths in excess of 16m, and very probably up to 20m. The weight of such a specimen is estimated to have been approx. 100 metric tons.

  • @NowKillTheKing No. The general accepted size is 50-55 ft. and 50 tons. Not accounting for the really large individual that pops up.

  • lol qucik edit fail at 10:43

  • man, they have mutilated that poor shark!!

  • @Bjorkal1 It was already dead.

  • @TheOtherNeutrino only because humans killed it in the first place.

  • Ever since I watched Jaws (I was 10, 1999) i've been terrified of the water even swimming pools.

  • No wonder I saw in a clip in which an orca like to kill white shark but eat only the liver, turn out that killer whale didn't waste much..

  • the awkward moment when a scientist teaches a boy about sex.......

  • awesome video this will help people understand these sharks and respect them,

  • Yeah sure. It sits a top of the food chain until an Orca comes along and decides that a nice shark fillet sounds real yummy.

  • The animals are dead. Some die of natural causes and some die accidentally. They're not hunting animals in order to try to dissect them. The concdept popularizes biology, which is a good thing, spreads awareness of biodiversity and highlights the mechanism of evolution. Yes, it's entertaining. It's also educational. You seem to be missing the point, which for this episode was "sharks are not the evil things you've been told they are".

  • 'Bye-bye... go and dooo yooor shah-rrrkee beeznees...' Gotta love Enrico!

  • fascinating but nasty.... 8P

  • they had no right to kill that shark.

  • @Dooont It baffles me that there's so much campaigning to protect the Shark and these people are killing them off for the sake of entertainment. 'But it's for science' They yell, What Science, This entire episode proved nothing new to science that hadn't already been discovered years ago, Not to sound like a whining animal lover but This entire series does nothing for science and mutilates animals for entertainment.

  • @Dooont uuhm, thay said in the video they got it because it got caugth in one of those sharknets, and it was already dead since it puked up its entire stomach... watch the whole video next time you think about commenting something again.

  • "Is mine, not yours"; ha ha; ROFL!!!!

  • Fellows, let's be reasonable, huh? This is not the time or the place to perform some kind of a half-assed autopsy on a fish... And I'm not going to stand here and see that thing cut open and see that little Kintner boy spill out all over the dock.

  • @Sparkito777 I just found out, that the girl got killed here last week, and

you knew it! You knew there was a shark out there! You knew it was dangerous!

But you let people go swimming anyway?! You knew all those things! But still

my boy is dead now. And there's nothing you can do about it. My boy is dead.

I wanted you to know that.

  • Very very interesting

  • give it bak is myn not yours

  • go do your sharky business

  • Comment removed

  • what the fuck these foolish people want's us to show

  • 'This is freaky'. You said it bro

  • omg those idiots with the baby ... ugh some ppl

  • lol i like the italian guy's voice: itsa party! xD

  • why the hell did they gut a shark like tht ffs ">>

just catch a shark ok cut its tummy out and go "WOWW :D" wen u see a baby :(

  • lol who dies from a toaster?

  • I love these series! Very interesting (:

  • why can't I have channel 4 at home!!! sooo interesting things on that channel!

  • Killer whales > Great white shark > Everything else.

  • Some people just don't listen they even said that this was caught by ACCIDENT

  • The part when they explained how the shark panicked when it was captured and "threw up its stomach" bummed me a out a little.

  • did they make shark BBQ ??

  • they bite while the fuck? kinky.

  • People, there's nothing wrong with killing a shark for science. Stop being butthurt.

  • @magmablood2 Ummm... yes there is.

  • holly fuckin assholes...

  • assholes!!!!

  • "wow sIde bay side like a dance, 5 sharks, that A-mazing that's a parrrrty" I love that guy's accent! :)

  • Sensitive people crying that scientists take advantage of a find and dissect an animal to further learn about it. Figures.

  • This lady is having a bit too much fun chopping up that shark.

  • 'Hey mom look what i brought home!'

  • I was doing fine until 38:07. Boak.

  • soo.. with liver that big these sharks can drink them self under the table

  • No wonder they are so grumpy, they are constantly teething. I thought getting my wisdom tooth was bad.

  • i wish i had a liver that big, alcohol consumption would go through the roof!

  • superb upload, thanks very much

  • i hate when people kill great whites did you know the great white is one of the most rare sharks on the planet

  • @zaroonk1224 It wasn't intentionally killed, it was found in shark nets, used to protect beaches. In Australia they are protected, you aren't allowed to kill them.

  • The clean-up crew was 90% japanese...

    Just waiting...

If you know what i mean...

  • I probably shouldn't be eating my dinner while watching this o.O

  • @nemzus or heading out fr a surf !

  • @nedladdy Haha :)

  • @nemzus Haha I was thinking 'yeah man that's stupid'... now I find myself eating too unfortunatly

  • @nemzus arriving at 38:17 I realize that you are right.

  • That was so gross it made me vomit shit from my eyes.

  • Really great, entertaining and educational vid, thanks.... Im wondering why it is that whenever people try to flame other people on youtube it always boils down to these insults: learn something, get an education, read a book, learn English. Always the same insults, attacking the same things. I wish people who insulted could be more creative. Yah.... so..... that's my insult, learn how to be creative, sheesh :P

  • killing any species of shark is illegal

  • @jasonwfloyd umm.. no?

  • Comment removed

  • @32:35 lady says "F**k"

  • Itsa me Mario! (hahaha sorry couldn't help it, Enrico's accent made me do it!)

  • if you had listened to he beginning the shark had bee caught in protection nets and died there. The shark was not killed intentionally for the program and neither was the other one caught on the beach, it was caught by a sport fisherman who attempted to save the shark pup. Open your ears and really understand what your commenting about. I have only seen 2 of these documentaries and they wait until the animal passes away naturally before dissecting it for educational purposes. Learn something.

  • You guys are fucking stupid... Let shark week dissect when they FIND THEM DEAD! Not catch and kill. Not to mention, you people are stupid when it comes to explaining... Enjoy the dislike

  • I suggest watching documentaries, made by the man who started it all Jacques Cousteau; 11 June 1910 – 25 June 1997) was a French naval officer, explorer, ecologist, filmmaker, innovator, scientist, photographer, author and researcher who studied the sea and all forms of life in water. He co-developed the aqua-lung, pioneered marine conservation and was a member of the Académie française. He was also known as "le Commandant Cousteau" or "Captain Cousteau, the man was a genius.

  • Sex ed with fish. I never thought I'd see the day...

  • let discovery channel or national geographic do the video and dissecting, u guys are not good job at all, and poor explanation.

  • You disgust me, fisherman. That shark did JACKSHIT and you kill it.

  • STOP KILLING SHARKS.

  • i watched this whole video and now know alot more about sharks.

  • I wish the shark could have reanimated on the dissection table and devoured everyone.

  • @armrdsoul77 why?

  • @heroesytumbas I am always partial to the underdog.

  • @armrdsoul77 yeah i get that, but that shark died accidentally, the scientists had nothing to do with its death, and by performing the dissection they're actually promoting a better understanding of the animal, which helps to protect it. On the other hand the people in the footage that gut a shark and found a baby inside are just fucking retards.

  • @heroesytumbas Yes good point! and those people that gutted the pregnant shark were shocking.

  • Humans take over everything

  • the music score at the end does it have a name?

  • i <3 joy reidenberg

  • Does anyone else think that he sounds like Mario and Luigi at 22:59? Ima going to go play Mario Party now.

  • why is the gap in the diving cage so huge?!! a shark could easily throw it's jaws through that thing!

  • i`m fairly sure they only found that shark at 31.00 already dead

  • @awesomeskierboy if it was dead it wouldnt have been thrashing on its way out of the water :)

  • @boezehexe it wasn't thrashing. look im not supporting what they did, but if the shark was already dead, which is the only plausible reason why it would be on the shore, and NOT in the water. i dont know, mabey im missing something, but theres my opinion

  • @boezehexe i dont think the shark was dead.

  • its amazing that in a world as complex and amazing as ours is, people still choose to beleive that one, ``person`` created all of it. and plese spare me the lecture i`m catholic.

  • @awesomeskierboy - Not amazing at all. I can give a simple explanation, here it goes: It amazes me that despite the amount of free education and books in on the planet there are people that spell "believe" as "beleive". Oddly though, both the amount of people that believe in skydaddy and the amount of people that spell badly greatly decrease the greater the amount of education received. - Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

  • @TheSpankymonkey you know what amazes Me? that you are looking to pick a fight to such a high degree that you turn a civilized conversation into an argument over a small grammatical error. and it amazes me EVEN MORE that you take a WHOLE FRICKING MONTH to do it. but then again. THAT'S JUST ME. ooo yah, and thirteen year olds, we tend NOT to smoke anything at all. you on the other hand..... I am not quite so sure.

  • @awesomeskierboy - Like i said, get an education. Your belief that this is a fight, or an attempt at one shows you are greatly in need of one.

  • @TheSpankymonkey i like to believe I am getting an education , considering I have 97% average. i doubt you can even COUNT to 97, let alone be able to communicate reasonably with another person. for that reason, i am terminating this conflict. should you choose to voice your concerns against this, feel free, but expect no reply from me.

  • @awesomeskierboy : It is precisely the complexity of this amazing world that tells us that there was an intelligent design behind it! How anyone can look at even the smallest biological unit - the cell - and think it all just "happened" is what I find unbelievable!

  • the guy with the accent is funny xD let it go it's mine

  • Scary and yet fascinating at the same time.

  • @ktawut They aren't endangered. Who cares.

  • @Katazka they are endangered....

  • @reillyboy100 that want a great white. sharks in general are not endangered.

  • @ktawut I agree, it made me really angry watching that. If they did that to a dog or a cat everyone would be up in arms.

  • @ktawut

It died because it got stuck in the net and vomitted its stomach out, they didn't kill it

  • Comment removed

  • @ktawut I totally agree! Fishermen should go die in a hole.

  • @ktawut I completely agree with you. They were wasting their time mindlessly killing a beautiful creature. Who kills a great white shark when they could have been killing five times as many baby seals in the same time frame ... ugh. Some people just don't know.

  • @ktawut that made me so sad

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @ktawut IT GOT ACCIDENTLY CAUGHT AND DIED IN A NET DUDE IT SAYS SO AT THE START. THEY DIDNT KILL IT ON PURPOSE

  • @scottishwun No he means the shark that is caught by the fisherman at 31:00.

  • @0S1MS0 ohh ok my mistake

  • @ktawut because its cool, why would you watch it if you don't like it? Are you a member from PETA or just a complainer?

  • @ktawut

They dont kill anything in this show. When one washes up on a beach they rush to dissect it before it gets all rotten and stuff.

  • @ktawut no fuckin shit eh thats fucked up

  • Comment removed

  • @ktawut because thats generally the process when you go fishing....

  • nets are such a primitive way to protect the beaches... electric currents, or other more modern ways that protect the beaches and the sharks are needed.

  • i fear shark karma.... i love catching them... tehehehe

  • Don't waste the meat! Add some onions, ginger, and a couple of spices and voila - tasty shark stew!

  • @IzacDominic sounds yum bro

  • @IzacDominic sounds yum bro

  • @IzacDominic

nah man that shark would stink.... too much mercury in them....
