Carl didnt get into the fence because of spinning out, he was tossed into the air by newmans car, if newman didn't hit him, he would have backed into the safer barrier, and they would have gone on and on about how great of a job his car did not getting too airborne. and how its just a testament to the safety of these automobiles like they always remind us.

He shouldn't have to defend himself. He went high and was blocked, he got a fender on the inside and Carl reacted too late causeing his own reck. But you can't really blame him either because they were both trying anything they could for the win.

He would be right on your ass waiting for you to mess up. i say the kid held his ground. He seems a little aerogant. But he's just a puppy. Carl was very cool and ran across the finish line.
