@hosshouhanon4real Matt is an Indie rocker at heart. His own music is a fusion of country/folk/rock and blues. At the moment the majority of the UK record buying public are not that interested in anything but bubblegum pop and hip hop. But it is OK, Columbia is positioning Matt to ride the next rock wave that hits. It will most likely hit the US first, but will eventually reach the UK. Matt is going to be a superstar when it does. It just takes patience.

Too bad not so many others do. :/ I guess the reason I like 1D is mainly because of their personalities and, well, cause I'm a teenage girl lol. His song 'Starlight' was chosen to be used in the trailer for the movie, The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel. Matt was invited to the premier and walked the red carpet with Downton Abby stars Maggie Smith and Penelope Wilton among other famous actors and actresses. That is the kind of career that lasts for a lifetime.

@ch9910 Matt sees himself as an Indie singer/songwriter, not a pop star. He knows that an Indie singer/songwriter will probably never match the video views or record sales of pop acts. But that is not why he is a musician. Matt loves performing live and he is about to start his tour. So Matt is over the moon. So stop being depressed, be happy, like Matt.

@kostar10 If all goes to plan the 'Amazing' EP will be released in the US in March. He will go into the studio to finish his second album in April after his upcoming UK tour is over and says that he will launch a new tour of the UK and US and possibly other countries, to support it. Exactly when, depends on when the second album is finished and released. He has a lot of songs in the can already and has a home studio now, so he can make demos at home. Hopefully late summer/early fall.

Letters is #39 after 14 weeks. Matt appeared on Tracks of My Years with Ken Bruce on BB2 all this past week. He tweeted that he will be a part of British Airway's "In Conversation" series on international flights. He will be among top people from all of the arts, music, comedy, film and telly. Also tweeted that he did an interview with a big radio station in Dubai. It appears that Columbia plans to take Matt international soon. Wonderful news for his fans outside of the UK.

@PepitaChick No need to feel sorry for Matt. Artists don't make anything form videos, in fact they have to pay for making them. They don't even make much from records, unless they sell in the millions. It is live gigs, merchandising and songwriting royalties that puts money in the banks and Matt as done way more gigs and written most of his own songs. Matt is doing fantastic.

Joe McElderry, had to go to another record company to find success. Susan Boyle has not seen any money from the sale of her first album, even though it sold millions.
