I know I'm throwing myself into the proverbial "brier patch" here, but, in the song I hear the rebuke from the left about all the "hate" that birthers are spewing out. And, I do realize there has been some asinine comments made from the right, don't get me wrong; but, what I see on youtube in comments and several, several videos is that there is a more vicious hate from those that subscribe to the liberal mindset toward conservatives than the other way around.
It doesn't matter if Obama was born in Hawaii or not. His father was a foreigner. Children, at the time of Obama's birth who had a foreign parent had DUAL CITIZENSHIP. You can become a full-fledged NATURALIZED CITIZEN, but naturalized citizens CAN NOT BECOME PRESIDENT, only NATURAL BORN with two American citizens. You could have cameras in Hawaii while little Barry Soetoro was being born with proof beyond belief he was born in Hawaii, and that still wouldn't make him eligible to be pres.

the official birth certificate is on file in hawaii. several officials (including the republican gov and the hospital administrator where he was born) have already given statements to this effect. copies (which birthers don't think are legit) have already been provided. the long forms of birth certificates were done away with in 2001. he didn't start running for Pres. until 2006.

He attended college here as a foreign student from Indonesia. He traveled under an Indonesian passport while in college. There is no proof of adoption (and don't cite the stupid Indonesian school record, cause it proves nothing and would not be admissible in court).
Second, you indeed CAN have dual citizenship, and, even more importantly, a child cannot renounce his US Citizenship nor can a parent do so for him.

Hey fatboi, the Constitution does not explicitly define every term in it. A simple google search would have given you the Common Law definition in use at the time, which at a minimum, is two parents of U.S. citizenship.

Your not going to get an election overturned unless it is explicitly clear, and the connection between the constitution`s Natural Born and Emmerich de Vattel`s ``Law of Nations`` definition,is not. Every attempt to ammend the constitution and provide a definition for the term Natural Born has failed. So ultimately the term goes undefined.

Clearly "Dissent" is not a mental scholar. Natural born citizen does not, repeat DOES NOT mean being born to 2 U.S. citizens. It simply means that you were either born in the U.S. or born to a U.S. citizen. If both of your parents weren't citizens and you were born on U.S. soil, or if they were citizens and you were born on Uranus, even you would be eligible to be president. Please go take a government class, you are embarrassing yourself.

There are ONLY 2 paths to citizenship here in the US: 1) by birth 2) through naturalization
There is no "super-duper special" third type of citizenship called "Natural Born" that requires both parents to be US citizens.
And, no, Vattel is NOT controlling US Law, Vattel is a Swiss philosopher who wrote an interesting treatise, that is all.
President Obama was born in Hawaii. That makes him a citizen by birth, or a natural born citizen.

There are two forms of US citizenship under US law
1) Citizen from birth, otherwise called "natural-born" or "native-born", given to those born in the US OR Born outside the US to a US citizen parent OR parents.
2) Naturalized citizen, someone who took US citizenship as an adult and gave up their previous citizenship.
The Governors of California and Michigan are both naturalized US citizens. Obama, was born in the US (and having a US citizen mother to boot) and, is a natural-born citizen

the official birth certificate is on file in hawaii. several officials (including the republican gov and the hospital administrator where he was born) have already given statements to this effect. copies (which birthers don't think are legit) have already been provided. the long forms of birth certificates were done away with in 2001. he didn't start running for Pres. until 2006.
