ZublZero, Dumbledore died at the end of the sixth book, not the fifth, and it's not like if Snape hadn't killed him he would have died from the ring. It's a book, not history. He either dies or he doesn't, and if he does die then the way he dies is revealed to the reader. I'm sure she went over shit and rewrote shit endlessly, the story wasn't set in stone.
