I'm hispanic and this bill has nothing to do with race. It does not allow police officers to pull somebody over just for "looking hispanic".

Besides, hispanic is not a race. Some of us are white, some of us are indigenous, some are black....well you get the point. Hispanics can be of basically any race, so how is it racially profiling any way?

Second, the law expressly forbids racial profiling. Only if you commit a crime and cannot produce ID showing that you are here legally.

No shit someone "could" read between the lines, technically you can do that with any law (disorderly conduct can defined however they want it to and target it whoever), the point is that IF THEY TRY TO DO THAT, then you can sue their asses and take them to court because it DOES NOT specifically say any "ethnicity" so it can't hold up in court. In other cases like WW2 germany or civil rights the law specifically said "african american" or "jews", not here.
