That isn't sound insulation only you are removing from the bottom of your hood. That material is designed to melt during a fire and extinguish the engine fire by fall on top of the engine.
@GethinJames you'll need a little more than that. the insulation on the bottom of the hood is removed in this car - which makes a huge difference in hearing the SC. That, plus strat intake, will get you this.

The Stratmosphere Hyperflow intake will give you that supercharger whine... no need for custom intake.
