Love the video of all the pictures. Barry has been the most favroite singer since 1973 when he started. Been to see him 20 times all across the US and think he is talented and gifted and never have heard anyone sing like this. Thank you for making us all happy with this video .

He's just been to the UK appearing on chat shows and I can't get enough of his down to earth manner and beautiful speaking voice. Brilliant Song!! Barry Manilow's "Daybreak" had a twist in the song: the collage of geographic surroundings in the video presentation. And by the same token, the song was not boring in terms of theme and oomph. A Solid 6!! A twist on a remake from December 1977.

The first time I ever heard this song it was literally daybreak. We were driving from California to Louisiana and Mississippi to see my mom and dad's family. Riding through the mojave desert as dawn was breaking & hearing this uplifting song as I was dozing. A great, positive song.

First time I heard this song was June 1978. I was 17 years old, at the Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C. I was standing firewatch outside the D.I.'s duty hut and he had a radio playing while he was showering. I thought it was so ironic being Daybreak because it was 0430 in the morning and it soon to be day break. I did not know who sung it until about 5 years ago. Brings back memories.

to me this song has a bitter-happy edge. like it has an underlying meaning-- not the words really-- but the mood it creates. the ending of something and the beginning of something. while that can be a good thing. it can also be a scary thing. cuz sometimes new begginings don't always work out. sometimes it's better to stick with the tried and true.... work on it. make it work... you might be better off :)
