sorry bout ur car getting stolen... hope they die of aids. anyways was pretty nice... but i pulled a 13.6 in the 1/4 on my T25 on street tires running 14 psi. with a pulsar T28 you should have been able to net high 12s. something is a miss there.

vertally same mods as me on my 13 i was wondering what sorta times id be running was gunna take it down at usc the other week but cudnt be asked to go im only 5 mins away from pod. iv got t28, full 3" exahust with tublar mainfold, stage 2 chip,fmic ,walbro 255, 1.6mm cosmetic head gasket and a hks evc 3 boost controller high boost is set to 18psi :) low is set to 8psi

what tyres you use to get the 13.504 @ 105.54mph? my s13 is 280bhp atm, got a few more bits to put on it, 555cc injectors and z32 afm and a stage 3 remap should push for 330-350 im told...educated guess at times then?? my 13 only weighs 1050kgs aswel...got 225's on the back...think i may need some wider wheels to get decent times

Haha, that thing was an EXIGE engined beastie though, he pulled 13.2 @ 103mph, which is quicker than most elises, thats why I was struggling to pull away even with 260 odd bhp!

I ran the slightly higher trap speed though at 105.5mph....

Mine was a CA18DET.

The turbo was uprated. It was a T28 off a Nissan GTiR (pulsar). Its a bigger T28 than the one on the SR20, better top end, but more lag.

Also had a Horsham Developments Stage 2 Chip, full exhaust by Apex (I think), K and N panel filter, Front mounted intercooler (12 litre I think).... Boost was raised via bleed valve to 14.5 to 15psi approx.

Nice power from ca m8, i drove in friends glanza 320hp with td04 turbo ,i think, there was huge turbo lag, but the yoke can move :D. not so important in drag race i think.

Were you able to drive it on daily bud? reliable setup?

there is no secrets, its a standard original clutch, never had to change it.

there was a bit of hopping, very small amount of wheelspin, the car has the power in the top end not torquey, its a revvy car so doesnt spin up so easy, bit like my current RX7.

Why you running a sr20 with a t25? t28 is the proper turbo for that engine....T25 are off a ca18det

Because some of the JDM 180SX has the sr20 but had the T25 hybrid turbo.

The S14 has the T28. And I think the black top 180 had the T28.

The Red top sr20 had the T5 (I think).

Im about to try and buy one of these off ebay, its 300 miles away from me and so I wont know just how good or bad the engine is until it gets here but I plan on stripping the engine down and rebuild to as high quality as possible, ive heard the engines are pretty bad when it comes to reliability

The engines are actually quite reliable, just get an uprated oilcooler, fmic and a good fuelpump.. if you have these and a good oil and checking oil temp it will be fine!

Correct, Ca18det with a T28 turbo from a Nissan Pulsar. Stage 2 chip, 15 psi boost. :)

It was in 2005 though, that car is long gone... twas stolen by joyriding teenagers and trashed.

Regarding the "race": Think your a bit late venom. Missed the boat.

This video was made in august 2005.

Since then, the car was stolen and dumped found in 2006, no point in repairing.

Since then I've had a TD06 Skyline GTS which would have given your 240 a good run for its money.

And now I have arriving an FD3S Rx7 with around 400 at the wheels.

So if you want to race the Rex, then no prob!

surprised the elise with the exige engine didnt get a quicker time than 13.5... i run a s1 elise with 165bhp unprated toe links and r888's and i run a 13.2 personal best at shakespeare raceway exige engine has throttle boddies and 200bhp engine..... it should have done better, nice 200sx i miss mine.

He did get a 13.2 later on in the day, which would have beat me (to the line).

I always got a faster terminal speed though, so I was catching him up all the way.

Basically he got the jump on me at the beginning, and if he got a big enough lead I wouldn't have had time to catch him up.

I think he got a best of about 103.5mph while I was on 105+ mph. :)

Quicker launch if you let the clutch out a small amount.
