Nothing with Flowmasters sounds four times better then anything... It would sound generic... And an 03-04 Cobra may be faster then an S197 (because its SC..) but in no way does it look better inside or out @acballa3369
any recommendations on whether I should go with an s197 or a new edge s281 mustang? I know alot about both cars just would like to hear someone elses opinion
the s197 is a far higher build quality in and out than the new edges, the interior is much nicer and more refined. Stock vs. stock they are also quite a bit faster. I believe they look far better too, but thats only a matter of opinion. I have never been in or driven a 2010+ but I hear they are far better than the 05-09's in the same respect the 05-09's are better than the 99-04. Best advice is to drive both and see what you like best.
i appreciate it man.. ive driven a 02 mustang GT with 3.73 gears, exhaust, ram air and a few other mods as well and it is pretty stout itself.. but as u said i believe looks wise the s197 has endless possibilities.. and a few things i like is they actually moved the cupholders that were previously in the way of the shifter. but thanks man ill prob end up with an s197 and drop a 4valve in it

@TheCottonTop ive personally always hated american thunder blowmasters too, guarantee my gt is far louder than yours and sounds better than yours haha....anyone can say they have bigger and better put a video to prove us wrong...let the world be the judge.
This sounds great, really brings out how the S197 should sound. Slowmasters sound like your exhaust is made of wood and coke cans.

Vista Blue & Tungsten Gray are my favorite colors for the S197 GT. Your stang looks and sounds great man! Very nice.

@countryboy852 unless your going for an 03 or 04 cobra, in which case would dominate an s197 looks/sound/interior/handling.

Yeah the tuning made a good difference, the biggest difference of anything done to it so far.

I have an 07 GT with an Airaid CAD, DiabloSport Predator multi-tuner and American Thunder Flow Master axel backs.
And it sounds four times better than yours.
Im not tring to be mean but I hope you did'nt spend more that $1100.
