So many of her newer songs have been really disapointing [I found, don't be offended], because I don't think they're quite as good as her really old stuff~

I think the thing is, BoA's had the same producers for too long... she needs to change her team and personally, I think, needs to be given more creative control, if not complete control. Listen to "Moon and Sunrise" and "Megastep;" she wrote the lyrics for them. She composed "Listen to My Heart." Actually, a lot of her hits were done by herself. I do love her new songs; I think she's just going through a slump because she has stated that she feels burned out from nonstop work.

I know! Actually, a lot of people agrees that BoA's songs are really good when they're written by herself because then, she can connect with the music more! I mean, listen to "Everlasting;" you can feel her emotions because she co-wrote it. "Moon and Sunrise" is so moving because it's so personal to BoA. Instead, Avex just tries to portray something that BoA isn't necessarily. They're too afraid and play too safe; let BoA take creative control! Her own songs PWN the songs you give her!

I loooooove Everlasting. It's one of her best, I think~ Moon and sunrise, too. She's really talented!! But I guess all her peoples are freaking out over the thought.. which is dumb, because all of her fans would love to hear HER songs!

I would love to hear BoA's songs too!!! Jeez, people only think that BoA can sing; that's not true! She can compose and write; she writes a lot in her free time (and reads; hehe, what an adorable nerd) and practices piano to work on composing! Why not acknowledge that work and let her take creative control? The music industry nowadays is so... forumlaic. If you're the singer, you CAN'T write because you can only be the singer. Sigh.... Let's wish for the day that BoA can create her wongs!

BoA's unfairly talented AND cute AND beautiful.... hehe, I fangirl over her so much! Actually, what I find interesting about her is that a good deal of her fans are girl; female soloists normally have a mainly male fanbase (ex. SNSD, Hyori, Chae Yeon, etc)

I'm hoping for that day too! You know, since "The Face" didn't do too well, maybe they'll let BoA write her own songs? *crosses fingers* Will be looking foward to that day too! Hehe, maybe we should start a petition for that?

Umm please guys, I'm like... one of THEE biggest BoA fans in the U.S. so please don't take this the wrong way or anything, but a good majority of the songs on her "Outgrow" album were written by herself but that album didn't sell too well so her company decided to do that whole past hits album or whatever it's called...

THAT one sold hella well and she even had a tour from it.

I know your comment is relatively old but I thought I should point out that if you're talking about the BEST album she had that sold really well (RIAJ certiffied million seller) and spawned a tour..yeah, that was "Best of Soul" (2005) which was released BEFORE "Outgrow" (2006). Her BEST album released after "Outgrow", "BEST & USA", did neither of those things. Furthermore, I'd say "Outgrow" sold very well; sure, not as well as her first 3 Japanese albums, but well nonetheless.

One of the things I love about BoA is that on stage she's so charimatic and powerful, but once off, she's a complete (adorable) dork, and sometimes geeky (reads in her free time, studies, practices piano, etc). Hehe, makes her so loveable.

Hmm, I actually like her stuff from The Face.... addicted to "Style" right now. Give it another try; the songs are vastly different from any other from before, so yeah.

Hehe, I would all be for a petition, but it might tarnish her rep?

You know (stupid youtube limit), ELF (Super Junior's fanclub) has a not really good rep and thus affect Suju's rep, because they constantly do ridiculous things, such as protest against the adding of new members and etc. So all we hope is that Avex might actually wake up and let BoA write her own lyrics ^.^ Let's pray for that!
