I've learned that Earth Sun and Galaxy are flying through space at about 130 km/sec. and if speed/velocity and time are related, what does our speed do to our overall perception of time and space. I don't think any human has ever experienced absolute, unaltered time passing.

Did you come up with this end of the world scenario on your own or did you borrow it from somewhere? I think its really plausible taking into account those self gratification experiemnts on rats.

I came up with the idea, but I definitely borrowed things from places. The main inspiration was people sitting in virtual worlds like WOW or Second Life for hours and hours, and sort of speculating what the next step of that sort of behavior would be. Theres a little bit of "The Matrix" in there, and also "Sleeper." I'm sure other people have speculated on similar scenarios, and I definitely think it's plausible.
