  • hey guy I'm typing on my new toyota keyboaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • @forthelulz87 ha ha ur funny...NOT!

  • thanks dumb ass

  • Did you notice the tech did not use a torque wrench to instaal the gas pedal. This is a big no no and the pedal could loosen up over time and jam

  • It could be as simple as turn the bolt until it seats and go a 1/4 turn past. I've looked at quite a few FSMs and those specs are hard to find. If there was one it would be low and have a large variance, basically all it is just telling you that it needs to be snug.

  • You are wrong! every nut and bolt on a vehicle has a torque spec.

And in order to keep the car safe and last a long time this must be adhered to.

But maybe Toyota figures it does not mater any more.

  • Hey i wasn't trying to offend you.

I'm not wrong though, I've done enough work myself and much more technical work then installing a plastic accelerator pedal. I know what needs to be torqued precisely and what does not.

This is not a Toyota practice this is a mechanic practice. If you feel it's to imprecise and dangerous, then i recommend you do all the work yourself. Because No mechanic is going to torque down every Nut, Bolt and screw.

  • Toyota should care that there service people are not adhereing to the sevice procedure because this torque is in there proccess at there assembly plants and very inportant even if you think it is not [shade tree mechanic]

  • You're sure condescending for one who's never turned a wrench. If you've had, you would know that the torque range they give is usually what what you would get if do finger tight and then some. It's like if you've driven a car, you can usually get the speed right for each street w.o looking at speedo.

  • Your an idiot, an I am an engineer .

  • This idiot whose first language isn't English doesn't spell 2 words wrong in the same 7-word sentence.

I would seriously doubt Toyota if they hired engineers like you who cannot spell or understand how the real world works.

  • He's actually right. Camrys made in Japan are not recalled
