  • ah the memories i still have the videos and this show was the dogs bollock especialy David Jason playinthe voice of danger mouse i think

  • It was indeed David Jason, he was also Count Ducula - another great toon.

  • Absolute quality!!!

  • Now that I'm older, I get more of the jokes. But that bit with the tadpole and the egg was hysterical!

  • makes me think of dangerdoom lool

  • proper cool :D

  • ok this is kinda strang but like danger mouse was like total 80's n i wasnt born till 95 but i like total love it ever i need a life or i should of been born it the 80's the 80's rock.. love it =P

  • Dude, it's not weird to love something from a time before yours. I love 80's nostalgia, but I wasn't born till '92. I'm also a 90's nostalgia freak, but that's a different story :P

  • I know what you mean, I was born in 92 yet I like 80's stuff.

  • taking me back..i use to watch this when i was young ......loved it....

  • Ya know, this stands up a heck of a lot better than most of the stuff I watched as a kid... it still makes me laugh :)

  • danger mouse is ...GREAT!

  • oh my goodness!!! I loved this cartoon! I also used to watch "banana man" and of course, I loved to watch "you can't do that on television", "Pinwheel", and all the "Special Delivery" episodes. Man, what happened to Nickelodean???

---from a sentimental 32 year old........

  • ist relly good

  • Thanks for uploading this, brings back great childhood memories :)

  • i was a strange kid i got the whole british humor thing so i loved dangermouse and got every joke. thanks for bringing back great memories! oh crumbs!!!!

  • what a legendary show!!!!!

  • Painfully simple plot, but it really was a character driven show anyway.

    Penfold's one-liners driving it completely.

  • one of the best cartoons ever, both exciting and quite funny

  • a classic 80's cartoon, although it is rather dark at times. And has comical adult comedy in it like the simpsons has at times.

  • Good ole Dangermouse & Penfold. Who is a greater coward than Penfold?

  • yesterday i wore my DM socks to work

  • Hmm, I've never heard of this show.

Did it deal with age regression often, or was this the only occurrence?

And I also noticed Greenback as an infant at the end, and then the bird lackey was an egg. Did this by chance have any part in your idea for "We Ride the Skies"?

  • Hi Boltro! Nice to hear from you- Responses are limited on here though so I'll get strait down to it. No, in this show age regression was not a common feature. The show's origins are obviously British and in the nineties, I had scarcely heard of it either before I got ahold of the video file, now I love it- Despite the AR scarcity. It's a very entertaining program, funny, original, and charming. As you can imagine it has been inspiration for a fan-story on my part, never posted or completed.

  • To continue from my last comment, (blast this character limit) Stelleto and Greenback... Yeah that is rather suspiciously similar isn't it? But the circumstances and definately the character relationships are massively, massively incongruent- I actually hadn't made the connection until you pointed it out. This situation is meant to be humorous- WRTS has a wildly different scenario, but it's funny isn't it, how similar the two situations look graphically?

  • lol Pinfold. Forgot about that guy

  • possibly the best cartoon that ever was in existence. I loved this as a kid - still do :)

  • age regression? think they meant "nostalgia"?

  • No, sir, I'm afraid I mean 'age regression' it's a term meaning reversion of an organism to an earlier point in its development- And that's what happens in the episode, well, to some of the characters anyway. Its a theme that appears in cartoons often.

This show is old and nostolgic for many people so I guess it is sort of a reversion to childhood for a short 10 minutes of a day for those who grew up with it. Congratulations as well, you, Jon, are the one hundredth commenter on this video!

  • I'm glad I found this, a friend of mine claims I made Dangermouse up lol

  • ahh danger mouse is so cool. XD

  • i still watch this lol i use my nefews as an excuse to get up and watch it with them =3 lol

  • It used to bother me that DM was scowling through his one good eye. Like he was constantly pissed off or evil.

  • I remember this one!

  • i remember bak in da the danger mouse was the bboommbb

  • i used to LOVE this show!!! GO DANGERMOUSE!!! :)

  • Best send up of James Bond ever!!!

  • Wouhhh!!! Como me trae recuerdos este dibujo animado....

  • Back when Nickelodeon had class, it used to show a great assortment of foreign animation, like DangerMouse, Count Duckula and Japanese interpretations of classic Euro fairy tales.

  • it the 80 since i see this cartoon i miss it thank it being back memory is a kid

  • Dangermouse sort of reminds me of James Bond

  • I suppose DM IS the James Bond of the mice type creatures.

  • Red-footed cockchafer?!

  • DM rules!! It's up there with the best of them and has stood the test of time. Kids still love it!...

  • Just picked up the entire series for about $13. A steal!

  • wow DM's fast. 1 1/2 hours to run a marathon? that's 33:01 faster than Haile Gebrselassie!

  • oh shit i remember that song!

  • love it , love it , LOVE IT !!!!!!!!

  • Baron Green Back looks like John Sergeant.

  • I used to watch DM all the time as a child. Very good 'toon.

  • lulz @ 4:05. "Look at that red-footed cock chaffer."

  • Anyone else think Greenback represents the evil Thatcher?

  • nah the evil Broon

  • o_O where's Banana Man? lol miss this show.

  • Haha, Bananaman and Danger Mouse were the best ever when I was little!

  • i thought this was dangermouse the rapper

  • ha ha, no no! this is the REAL danger mouse, SCARFACE!

  • I used to watch this show all the time when I was a kid, but forgot that this is what it was called. I didnt remember it bein British either.

    So sweet.

  • didnt the red post box the general and london setting make u think danger mouse was british?

  • i dig DM. thanks for postin koopusk

  • Old Is Gold

  • Danger Mouse is British, isn't it? The British are COOL. They brought to America the Gorillaz, and NO, I'm not talking about the actual animal!

  • Siles greenback is the greatest villan in the history or vellans

  • I was just wondering what it would be like if pinfold was voiced by tony robinson and dm rowin atkinson ? ...makes one think

  • i wach this ca5rtoon every day

  • DangerMouse, Benny Hill, Weakest Link, AbFab. Gotta love those British shows!

  • Greenback looks like Churchill

  • I love this cartoon. I have all episodes. Thanks Koopusk.

  • I don't know why but why did british cartoons have a bleakness to them like Banana man Duckula Padington Bear compared to the american and jap ones?

  • With due deference to the Goons, without whom the absurd could not have been the best representation of reality, Danger Mouse ranks with Monty Python in that genre ... does a far better job at poking fun than James Bond.

I doubt that most people see what a spoof Bond is, but it is all out in the open with DM and, as with Lewis Carrol's "Alice", operates at every level from child to adult.

  • Danger Mouse, man this takes me back! Loved this show, even though some of the humor stuff went over my head (what the F are humbugs anyway?)

  • Humbugs are a type of boiled sweet ;)

    I like the mint ones.

  • Really, do you guys really call biscuits cookies and cookies biscuits also?

  • Cookies are a specific type of biscuit, with chocolate chips in.

  • They're all on DVD now, all seasons :) I have the first one. I just haven't gotten around to buying the others yet, but I am.

  • Can anyone get 'The Day of the Suds' from series 2 on youtube?

  • lüpke, schnauze!

  • I had no idea Danger Mouse originated in England. This cartoon was also air on Nickelodeon in the United States back in the early 90s. It was a cool show.

  • TLC2287,

Danger Mouse was actually an 80s program, very early 80s. You might have seen it in syndication. But another possibility is that you might be thinking of "Count Ducula," made by the same company that sometimes crossed characters. That was an early 90s program.

  • and late 80s

Also It's pretty Obvious it's a british show

  • Danger Mouse was voied by David Jason, was'nt he?

  • Yes, who was also the narrator and several other characters

  • ooooh! I love danger mouse! Its the best cartoon that was ever made in the uk, no argument

  • What is the website?

  • I don't remember, that's why it says "somewhere". Sorry.

  • Every time I hear Baron Greenback's voice I want to clear my throat.

  • Is it just me or is young Danger Mouse riffing on Micky?

  • this cartoon was cool , thanks Danger Mouse, ok. sayonara my friends.

  • danger mouse was cool. OK. sayonara my friends.

  • DANGER MOUSE !!!!! Thanks for this upload !!!

  • Now to have some fun with this (also fun) video: At the start, the Colonel's name tag appears to be "Colonel. K."; at the end, it has changed to "Colonel`K". I wonder if this was intentionally part of the time adjustment or a mistake. How does it look in other episodes?

  • I think that Danger Mouse is great. I understand that a DVD boxset has recently come out that has all the Danger Mouse cartoons in existence on which I hope will be used to put all Danger Mouse episodes on youtube which would be awesome! I think they should make more episodes of Danger Mouse as it would be very popular today, the death of Terry Scott, the voice of Penfold could easily be reproduced by someone else.

  • that wuld b great

  • wooooooooooooooooooooooooo dangermouse

  • whew, I hadn't realized how cheap the animation was, haha. But I mean I was 5 so what can I say!

  • im sure theres some sort of "realationship" goin on wit dm and penfold

  • haha!

"oooh no Penfold, come on stinker" =]

  • "An old cartoon I got from a Public Domain somewhere.

The stuff in there's called "AR" Or age regression, its just a little interest of mine.

I do not own this little guy I'm not trying to make any money off him, I dunno why I'm uploading this vid. I just want it to be seen that's all. I'm not exactly sure how all this deal works sooooo...

Danger Mouse is (C) Thames Entertainment or something. (more) (less) "

    What does this mean?

  • I'm not sure what you're saying.

  • It just seems an unusual thing to post with the video, that's all. It sounds like you're not familiar with the show, that's all.

  • Well... I wasn't. Until I found the cartoon. Now I'm a fan, but don't expect me to post any more episodes. I'd love to, but they ARE in short supply. Thosae that have subscribed to me hoping for more DM vids. Sorry to dissapoint... I will keep looking, but its not my biggset priority. I uploaded it to add it to a group I'm a member of.

  • Just for info's sake, the full 89 episodes are available on a big DVD set anyway!

  • What IS the company that produces Danger Mouse anyway? Thames or Cosgrove/Hall Productions. I'd really like to cite this correctly.

  • Cosgrove-Hall. They don't make episodes anymore though (the voice of Penfold, Terry Scott, is no longer with us for one thing) Thames Television is a broadcasting company, which I think is no longer active or has merged.

  • you gotta love that car.

  • Crumbs chief, I love Dangermouse! I couldn't get enough - it's a pun on Danger Man with Patrick McGoohan The Prisoner No6 - I love especially this white fluffy whatsits name thingy of bad guy Greenback's oh Nero yes! Silly Penfold was called Lübke in Germany, after some old chancellor there, who wasn't all that bright...

  • In the credits didn't Penfold slide to create the Written By credit.

  • I know DM is serious about a case, what with all the "Penfold, SHUSH"ing, but Penfold does have a point- maybe Baron Greenback DID go flat on the radar.

  • This one is from Season 5, hard to find Danger Mouse vids past season 2 on youtube. Thanks for uploading!

  • Reminds me of "better times with Thatcher" too!

    Mind you I'm a racist.

  • I love the jazzy lounge Danger Mouse theme playing in their bachelor pad! :)

  • great stuff.

reminds me of better times with Thatcher!

  • This is one of my favourite episodes of this amazing show. Thank you to whoever posted this.

  • "London...it was going to be Bangkok but they cut our travel allowance"...hehe, I didn't notice those little gags as a kid!

  • I loved this as a kid, though I must admit my favorite part is the song at the end during the credits.

  • Sooo good.
