the sun is so red in western India, laalima is the world to describe it. A clear sky in western countries looks blue but red is the color of beautiful sky near the equator... we had a painting at home by a local artist and it has red sky.. europeans have given a blue sky the universal connotation.

Lovely beach..never been to Kovalam although Dharwar also looks similar
