  • No puedo creer a en este mundo 9 personas le dieron a no me gusta son unos idiotas

  • @dahuaris sí, unos completos estúpidos

  • EU's anthem?

  • Every Christmas the Minnesota Orchestra does this with full choir, I took my then girlfriend to see this... we had front row seats... we sat next to Sam Sheppard and Jessica Lange... after it was over I collected myself from the puddle of goo that I had become and asked her if she liked it. She responded expressionless, "it was nice" Thats it I asked? "Ya, it was OK" she said. I broke up with her the next day! Powerfull stuff.

  • 6:58 epic moment

  • 5:20, my favourite part

  • didnt beethoven make mozart look like a little bitch

  • This is what I think of when I hear music like this- EPIC

  • The basses start this movement!!

  • @xenonangel799 and it is epic :D

  • you guys are all to cheesy for your own good.

  • There is hardly any one way I can describe this music. I like music I can feel, and with this I feel so many things. Euphoria, joy, sorrow, bliss, peace, chaotic delerium, and spine-tingling mind clouding nirvana all at once. It is what helps me get a good nights sleep, and has always helped me see the beauty in life, even in chaos. It always leaves me in tears when is over.

  • It took me so long to finally find this symphony that got me into orchestra music and I still love its feeling of enlightenment that it feeds my soul down to the crevises. It really is a splended ode to joy, for that is the sensation we should all feel as this music is transfered into our ears and into our brains.

  • And people have the nerve to compare Bieber to Beethoven?!

  • @TheAwkwardPigeon it is like comparing tear drop and ocean, lol :D

  • @TheAwkwardPigeon Wait? Who the hell does that?

  • @TheAwkwardPigeon Do they even know that Bieber doesn't even write his own songs?

  • Could he hear the music in his mind or how else could he have composed it. Its not the same as actually hearing it though I would guess. But i reckon he could do something like that. I lkie the top comment

  • this soo relaxing to listen to especially with some wine:)

  • I bet this is what heaven sounds like..

  • reminds me of watching It's A Wonderful Life when I was like six having eggnog... xDD

  • the greatest of all time....

  • Love the slideshow chick

  • Those six ppl loved the symphony but not the video i guess.... But i liked it!

  • WOW!

  • 6 people are deaf like Beethoven. Wait...?

  • @zephranna01 No, you idiot. He died almost two hundred years ago.

  • The last minute totally gives me goosebumps (in the good way)

  • @3.15 I could hear a resemblance to Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody...

  • 6 people on here are absolute morons and have no idea what real music is. this song is beautiful and raw and if you dislike this then in my eyes you are, in the full meaning of the word, a complete and udder moron

  • @roseandthorns5 'udder moron'

    THE IRONY, IT BURNS

  • @roseandthorns5 you mean utter. udder belongs on a cow

  • LOVE the raw feelings this song brings to you. It's perfect just perfect even in this day and age.

  • 6 persons do not have feelings! =P

  • one of the greatest human beings ever

  • I played this as timed it so it would reach the climax a 6:00pm but I'm still listening to this heavenly music now but am not in heaven...?

    Rgs from Australia!

  • Comment removed

  • nd he was deaf

  • best music ever

  • lots of good juju on this wall... but I wouldn't expect any less from those who searched Ode to Joy.

  • Did you know he died from lead poisoning?

They said he was a heavy drinker.......and sometimes (back then) they would give you your drink out of a lead cup......And cuz he drank so much he probly got enough lead...and then he died. Sad!!!:(

  • My sister 24sgalover is cool go subscribe to her!!! she is the 1 who said that he probly listen to this when he went to heaven!

  • @TheSurferdude24

    He might not have!!! :)

  • My piano teacher in college told me that When this was played for the first time in the great music hall it shook with applause but Beethoven sat with his head down worrying if people would like it. His friend turned his head so he could see everyone clapping and cheering. It's sad he never got to hear his own masterpiece.

  • @shutupurgonnamakeit oh but you are wrong mon ami. he is hearing it. everyday in heaven :) and so will all of us :)

  • @b1naqm28 hey c'mon. no harsh and rude comments on my video. i don't even know what you two are fighting about. D:

  • @b1naqm28 dude, you're a racist stalker who obviously has severe emotional problems. thus I won't be surprised if you continue to litter youtube with your vile lies and hate. My clicking on delete is far easier than you searching for every comment I've ever made (thousands of them) and pasting your nonsense in reply. If you do continue to harass, eventually I'll have the energy to report your abuse and have your account closed.

  • can't listen to this without breaking down.

  • SinclairDeWanker! Bravo!

  • @SinclairDelux and i'd stand there laughing at you guys trying to talk to the deaf!

  • wow this made my day :D

  • I've been searching for THIS particular performance of this piece.. I jam this in my car and at my house all the time...some people look at me like i'm crazy...but this is truly beautiful...this never fails to give me goosebumps...it brings tears to my eyes..however the last 4 minutes of this piece is missing from this video.

  • @clydefrog4963 -me too! very powerful. now i dont feel so alone driving down the streets with tears of joy in my eyes. peas!

  • Sounds like oh come let us adore him

  • I bet when he got to heaven God let him actually hear this song :D

  • @TheSurferdude24 omg. what you just said was epic. :'D

  • @CelineDionFan4568

    Thanks!:D

  • @CelineDionFan4568

    I know!!!:D

    jkjk well it kinda is.......o.0?

  • @CelineDionFan4568 this song is master piece is truly beyond human words. You have to be souless to not feel anything while or after hearing this :']

  • @CelineDionFan4568: I fully agree with your sentiment and admire it. And despite my complete ignorance of the before and after life, I think this music demonstrates that our cosmos has a purpose, and, yes, a Design. Lest you believe I am a rightist, I want you to know that it is this particular music that convinced me that the universe has meaning. I am not a religious fanatic, although I have my suspicions that the human response to our universe as being "designed for good" come from music.

  • @TheSurferdude24 that doesn't really make sense :S

  • @paulbefc

    How?

  • @TheSurferdude24 why wouldn't God let him hear his own song? Is God a tyrant dictator in heaven?

  • @paulbefc *facepalm* because he couldn't hear it on Earth, where he was deaf...

  • @hokiecyclist ............... facepalm accepted

  • @paulbefc

His hearing began to deteriorate in the late 1790s, yet he continued to compose, conduct, and perform, even after becoming completely deaf.

  • @TheSurferdude24

    I'll take that wager.

  • @TheSurferdude24 fucking cool bro.

  • @TheSurferdude24 ...That would probably be the best gift in the world to Beethoven...

  • @pirateninjab

    He was so cool!!!

    : .) : '(

  • @TheSurferdude24 Yes...Yes he was....

  • @pirateninjab

    ? what?

  • @TheSurferdude24 I was saying yes to Beethoven being cool....

  • @TheSurferdude24 i bet he cried when he heard this masterpiece for the first time.. :)

  • @TheSurferdude24 ween i read this comment i fucking was in tears

  • @TheSurferdude24 beautiful comment man...

  • @munnytome

    I get that alot!:D

  • if i could travel back in time I would meet beethoven, put on my best pompous british accent, shake his hand and simply say 'IMPRESSIVE SIR!'

  • Oh Alex you little clockwork orange!

  • The best version of the best song.

  • what an amazing man he is he can't hear but he composed the most wonderful symphonies we hear today I say his contribution is indeed amazing there may be other good composers out there but the uniqueness with excellence of this man made him better than other composers and made him my inspiration in music. I still cannot believe that after all his amazing contribution and performance there are 6 people and may still be others that dislike this.

  • Greatest piece of music ever created.

  • This is as close to perfect as any piece of classical music i can find.

  • hmmmmm, Bethoven or Marty O Donell :/

  • I love the music, but why are all the pics shaking? I agree with "funincluded," I'd rather look at a black screen too, than a shaky one.

  • I can't stand looking at the video while this is playing, I'd prefer a black screen

  • at 6:58 I CAME

  • HAHAHAHAHA On one hand you have great taste in music on the other...hahah celine dion, really??!!!

  • Vivaldi, the best of all the composers.

  • You asked for a miracle theo, i give you the f.b.i

    the last seal is cut

    its opening.........

  • HAIL BEETHOVEN

  • I listen to metal music mostly this is amazing such great inspiration to draw upon. This piece represents humanity.

  • @DraconianSilenced most metal music lovers i know are very musically and melodically inclined. As opposed to singer&songrwriter lovers i know, they mostly only listen to the leads and thats it. I think it has to do with the layers in metal. as you know there is often 2 or even 3 guitars and a bass. which makes you more trained at listening to the whole ensemble instead of only the leads. Also, metal is often very technical playing.

I dont like metal, but i understand why ppl like it.

  • @lolcat23 Totally cool, and I agree with you :D.

  • We departed the church at the end of our wedding to this piece of inspirational, uplifting music... I loved it!

  • Truly beautiful. The best piece of music ever made.

  • Beethoven was a genius then and still a genius today...tip of my hat to him!! :)

  • Thanks, great tribute! I was looking for something to share with friends today, 26 March, Beethoven's death anniversary.

  • it made me cry

  • @chasenbryce1 FAG!

  • ahhhh so peaceful and genis it well live on forever

  • @chasenbryce1 thumbs up if you read "penis it will live on forever" too

  • Genius.

  • maybe people have lost their way. Top 40 is garbage. All I listen to are CD's.

  • God truly blessed Beethoven with the gift of music... so many desire that inherant gift, but few ever attain it.

  • I agree! Beethoven is my favorite genius of all time, and his music will live forever!

  • great stoned!

  • i love this piece

  • I just enjoy the second half more because the first just seems well... slow.

  • who is the tenor? can someone please tell me

  • this is my favorite!!! Lifts your spirit

  • sehr gut!

  • No matter how many times I listen to this it still gives me goosebumps! Sublime.

  • awesome!

  • simplemente maravilloso Dios puso su musica atravez de este hombre para deleitar a su hijos.

  • Ah quite enjoyable once you get about four minutes in. Not saying I don't like the first half. Just the second is more appealing to me.

  • at first you must get a girl, then you can enjoy fucking...if you understand ^^

  • This was his last symphony right?

  • His last finished symphony yes, sketches exist for a tenth symphony. Some version completed by other composers are performed today, though not regularly.

Youtube has some of the passages of the tenth symphony, just search arround, you'll find it.

  • i agree. cuz i got a hunger for more COWBELL

  • @theunmaster metal, not fungus; right?

  • you know what this piece needs? MORE COWBELL!!!!

  • vivaldi is awesome but beethoven kicks his ass 10x better.

  • Why are you comparing Vivaldi with Beethoven?? they are from completely different era and styles.

For me Beethoven is the greatest composer that ever lived but for that I'm not putting down Vivaldi's music.

  • @lau399 Dude, what you said didn't even make any sense.

  • @lau399 You are correct. Beethoven is the greatest composer that ever lived. Anyone who denies that hasn't listened to enough to realize just how superior he was.

  • @CelineDionFan4568 vivaldi has a different style, i love them both, i prefer vivaldi cause i am a bassoon player and he wrote the most amazing bassoon concertos. beethoven is an amazing composer if not the best that lived.

  • Amazing!!!!!!!!

    Just Amazing!!!!!

  • Wow, what else can be said about this beautiful masterpiece? It speaks for itself. A symphony written by a man who was basically deaf. This is the best of any other songs that have EVER been composed. "The world was created created so Beethoven could write 'Ode to Joy' " as one said.

  • Absolutely stunning.

And like everyone has took the time to say, I would like to repeat that this is Beethoven's masterpiece, one that so moves the soul unlike any other piece of music.

    Bravo.

  • I just feel like crying of joy every time I listen to this symphony.

  • Yes do listen careful. their the celestial bodies moving in the universe, the sound of a balanced nature, a expression of life, and the music of a soul.

  • listen carefuly these melodies, these are the best melodical notes in the world, long live Beethoven

  • Thank you for posting this beautiful piece of music.

  • thanks for posting

  • Not many people know this but, this song represents us in a way. A recording of this is on The Voyager. So if intelligent life finds it, this is what they are going to hear. If there isn't, its still awesome people chose this to represent us.

  • 5:19 to 6:42 just blows me away...Pure Genius!

    Absolutely wicked strings!

  • I had this on Beethovens Greatest Hits. Lost it in my move and now can't find it. This is one of my favorites.

  • I love this piece. In my opinion, the part when the chorus comes in at 7:00 is the best part.

  • i agree

  • It never fails to move me.

  • greatest piece of music ever made

  • I viddy when you sloosh to that starry veck Ludwig it really gets stuck in the gulliver all day!

  • Clockwork Orange!!!!!

    such a good book/movie

  • so sad that Alex was made to feel sick whenever he heard Ludwig Van Beetoven.

  • O my brothers

  • @CHRISMED2 whenever he heard the 9th dude...

  • fantastisch!!!

  • My Friends I wrote this because I was feelin a bit arsy that day and thought the world needed a bit of hope took me half hour then i watched the match ..get in! lots of luv ludvig xx

  • God I hate that they use this for that monster state the EU as the national anthem.

  • why so rude? why monster state ? Beethoven was Europeen after all!

  • I love Europe just hate the government, the same with the United States. Seems a little odd that there is a Union of South America, African Union, European Union, in 2007 an Asian Union was proposed...and according to the SPP a soon to be North American Union. I'm just against big government thats all.

  • My favorite beethover song period.

  • My all time favorite song
