  • a movie ahead of its time when it came to terrorism in ny.

  • Please, high definition release. PLEASE!

  • MOTHERRRRRFUUUUUUUUCCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!

  • yes, i believe it was stallone's best attempt at straight acting.

  • lol these old trailers were cool :) they never spoiled films.

  • WULFGAR!

  • What was the name of the first Wulfgar, before he had plastic surgery? Was that Charles Dance?

  • @stegatops1 It's the same actor playing Wulfgar before and after plastic surgery :)

  • I know its both Wulfgar in the film......I meant the actor......its a different actor playing the first Wulfgar before plastic surgery. I think its Brian Osbourne.

  • @stegatops1 I will be the first one to hold my hands up if I am wrong but I'm 99% sure that Rutger Hauer plays Wulfgar throughout the entire film. He just has a beard and a different eye colour for his "before plastic surgery" look. If you look on the end credits of this film he is the only actor credited with playing Wulfgar.

  • Hmmm........we'll see about this......Im sure the first one is taller than Hauer and has a different shaped jaw.....and also a Middlesex accent.

  • @stegatops1 I really want someone else to confirm that I'm right or wrong otherwise I might go mad ! lol :D

  • I have to admitt.......its odd that they wouldnt list him in the credits.....after all he palyed an integral role in the film. Very rarely, cast members choose not to be credited.......if they have a problem with their role. Walter mathau often refused to be credited for bit parts if he didnt like the film.

  • @stegatops1 No rutger hauer played wulfgar through the film both post and pre face life operation i remember the film.

  • @CI5AgentSweeps I think I heard that the scenes with Wulfgar pre-plastic surgery were filmed last.

  • Funny that the US movies always put a dutch man in for a german bad guy..

  • this is one of my favorite Stallone movies, great cast of actors and one of the best movie sound tracks !!!

  • Total fuckin AWESOMENESS!

  • @plymouth95 why was he maintaining 70s hairstyle/beard and wearing bellbottoms. This was an 80s movie!

  • @corrupt200 Only just - was probably produced in late 79/early 80. To me, the sterotypical 80s culture didn't kick in till about 83/84. Films were still quite 70s looking till around 1982.

  • brillant excellent movie!! one of slys best films!!

  • Does anyone know why the 2 songs in the nightclub scene were replaced? I have the original movie, then had scene it on tv and "I'm A Man" and "Brown Sugar" were replaced with songs I don't even remember!

  • @mcrtnyfan I thought it kinda spoiled the film when they replaced the two nightclub songs. The other two songs that were put in on the dvd version were def not as good and kinda brought a bit of an anti climax to that scene.

  • Dont Forget Billy Dee Williams" Lando" wasinit even cooler than Sly! AWESOME movie

  • Lindsay Wagner was left on the cutting room floor.

  • Stallone, De Niro, Pacino, Travolta..

You can't beat the Italians. Cool as fuck!

  • il pera!!!!

  • This is a straightforward movie that gives its viewer not too much and not too little detail. Thumb up. I saw it for the first time just a week ago. Keith Emerson composed and performed its original music; otherwise, I probably would never have heard of it.

My favorite scene is Stallone searching for the villain, whom he/d seen only in pre-face-alteration photos, guessing he'd be at some disco in the city, slowly realizing he's found him, and then gazing at him until making eye contact.

  • Yeah, Nighthawks and Cobra are two of Sly's most underrated films.

  • Looks just like Pacino when he was in Carlitos Way. HA!!

  • pleasure... i hope

  • anybody know this disco track playing in the background?

  • @buladi

The track is from "Macho", title: "I'm a Man"

The song is originally created by the "Spencer Davis Group" (Steve Winwood, around 1967).

  • @DcsabaS

    thanks:)

this is rather not macho. this version in moovie of im a man is the best i heard

any ideas what could it performer was?

  • @buladi

Well, the DISCO hit was performed by Macho.

However, what we can hear in the movie was played by Keith Emerson's band.

  • @buladi I bought the soundtrack to this movie when it came out and it's all the same music so buy the soundtrack if you like the music.

  • Occupation.....COP!

  • Stallone Is a legend, i think every movie i have seen he is in is epic besides rocky 5 that was just ok.

  • Stallone looks fucking awsome with those lenses! haha

  • Very underrated - loved it and watch it every chance I get!

  • @carl22069 I totally agree I think Stallone played a great cop in this movie and definitly my favorite Stallone movie..Great music !!! thanks for posting

  • Great thriller, up there with the best. This was really Stallone's last shot as a serious actor before he was typecast by Rambo.

  • Man, "First Blood" aka "Rambo" is a awesome movie. Like in Rocky (which received the Academy award for best picture in 1976) what makes "Rambo" and "Rocky" lame is the sequels. "First Blood" is not a movie about a war hero like in the sequels, is a psychological thriller about a maniac mind-troubled Vietnam War veteran. You should check it out again.

  • this is awesome!

  • Sylvester Stallone looks as sly and cool in this than in any other film he's done. Another underrated Hauer movie is Split Second. Excellent Scifi Horror flick!

  • One of the best Syvester Stallone movies.

  • Hope they release a special director's cut of this one day. In an interview, Stallone said that some important scenes involving Irene and Wulfgar were left out and that the ending was like the final Taxi Driver bloodbath.

  • Dasilva yes.

  • Stallone is an underrated actor (NightHawks, Oliver, etc). This movie is great. Rutger Hauer is EXTREMELY UNDERRATED as a bad guy (NightHawks, The Hitcher, Blade Runner). This is a great film. Old-School...still cool!

  • 52 kills wtf

  • Cage and Camu Tao make an album called Night Hawks. Sick Shit.

  • just got it...it was dirty, camu had better rhymes

  • @HuckOrris

and it's great! It made me wanna watch this movie..

  • Sylvester Stallone, Billy Dee Williams and Rutger Hauer in one movie?!? I've got to find this!!

  • Stallone and Billy Dee you can't get cooler than that...

  • This is the only Sylvester Stallone movie I liked other than First Blood where he trashes a southern town.

  • Cobra is also a good one.

  • Rutger Hauer was awesome in this film...

  • Sylvester Stallone is My Favorite Actor of All Time!!!!!...

  • One of the most underrated movies in the world! Sly was perfect as Det. Sgt. Deke DaSilva. He is real actor and shut up all the haters

  • You are so right.Stallone is a brilliant actor who is shunned by the high-brow elite in hollywood. He has a legion of fans who love his work, and we are just 2 of them!

  • awesome movie, sly is the best

  • u see the bad man with blond hair thats a dutch guy!!! he comes from holland!! :P

but first blood parts are the best

  • This and Rambo first blood are his best movies, I don't like Rocky as much, I mean most people love it but I think these two movies were better.

  • I love this movie! One of Sly's best, and underrated!

  • An Awesome Action movie! Sly is amazing in this as usual as Deke DaSilva.Rutger Hauer is great as the terrorist Wulfgar.

  • very underated great film Vicious and intense cat-and-mouse cop thriller.

  • DAMN! I love this movie! I agree Dave, VERY underrated. It's my fav Stallone movie.

  • Wulfgar, a blonde-haired, blue-eyed white German. A non-Muslim terrorist. Who'da thunk it?

  • reminds me alot of that cat who played with wesley snipes in passanger 54 or 57

  • mamma quanto e' cazzuto sly con la barbaaa!!!

  • A very underrated movie.

  • very underated. just like you said.

  • excelent movie

  • God rutger was so good looking in that movie! still is, like fine wine, gets better with age.. :)
