  • yes.... the subcontonent does have a tradition of western classical music...albeit within a small section.... lets not forget he influence of " Empire " for more than 250 years.

  • Wow, how nice to see young Pakistanis playing Western Classical Music at such a high level:)

  • What I wouldnt give to play like that.......BRILLIANT

  • Beautiful.

Can't decide which is better... Valentina Lisitsa's version of this Ocean Etude or Asad's!

...this makes me feel good since Asad is my middle name. :P

  • Yes, in Lahore, at a private hall. Trained by their father Ijaz Anis, Asad's brother is also concert pianist, performing in Germany these days. They will be performing in september in Lahore again.

  • Thanks a lot for the information. Is there any website or any other way to get more information about the concert i.e it's location passes/tickets etc. I hope there is proper advertisement for this concert and they will be suprised at the number of people turning up. Such an amazing talent.

  • Truly amazing. I didn't know that there were piano virtuosos in Pakistan. Does anyone know where this concert took place and when it will be taking place again in the future?
