His voice isn't what it used to be? That's obvious. As the years pass, voices change. With that said, I will still hit the "favorite" button on this one. Meatloaf and Patti Russo have made my heart sing once again..

I've heard so many complain about how his voice is not what it used to be and how it sounds like 'shit' nowadays, how his performances are 'pathetic'. I'd like to see just one of these people in their 60s, having been overweight all their life, suffering from asthma and wpw, and still doing performances like these, still getting up and continuing after collapsing onstage. And I'm pretty sure none of them would have the strength to do that.

adding , heard a lot of artists that i still enjoy. its the performance, though sometimes i go back to the vinyl for how it was, sometimes the new stuff still rocks, if they still perform i still listen . listening to dead artists on a ouija board loses vibrato but keeps the soul !!

@anointedsword I worked for his Mother. She teaches probationary classes here in San Antonio. Worked for her (Marilyn Whitman) in 2000. She looked at her son (Meatloaf) as a Bug she had to squash. But I think he is a success no matter what. He had the guts to defy that attitude and defy the talk about him. Life Success. I'm with him in Heart and Spirit. He looks just like his mother. She works for Alamo City for Learning off of San Pedro Rd here in San Antonio TX. God Bless/

He´s being afflicted with Wolff–Parkinson–White syndrome. That can effect his voice or his performance. I agree with Marquis1218 - he always gives us his all.

Meat Loaf has the most important thing a musical performer needs....conviction. He's always been a great entertainer. He's always been pitchy, and I do miss the tone he had his 70's recordings, but I respect a performer that always gives it his all.
