Well "scentmuse" I have to say as a Johnny Cash and a June Carter "Cash" fan, your wrong. The flim makers wrote like it was, there's no lies in the flim. Everything that John did was in that movie. I'm not bashing him I'm saying that how it went down. If you were a Johnny Cash fan you would know that he wrote a book about his life and everything in the book was in the movie. Plus John and June's son John Carter Cash helpt make that movie, so I'm pretty sure he saw nothing wrong with it.
@Brockvillegirl92. only thing that I know of that dint happen in real life, that happened in the movie was when he collapsed on stage. and they had to help him off.
on the DVD of this movie does anyone know the name of the song played by the guitar iv been looking for it forever .... and its in teh credits .... i think its the last song in it
as an admirer of johny cash, i wasn't pleased to see hollowwood's treatment of this legendary american. watching the movie, he was portrayed as little more than a mediocre entertainer, an unfaithful husband, a substance abuser, and someone with major anger management issues. why was there no mention of his advocacy for major, historical causes like the civil rights movement? the account seems to have paid little heed to his positive accomplishments as an artist and as a humanitarian. boo on them
I have read Waylon Jenning's autobiography, Good rockin' Tonight- The Sun Story and various interviews with Cahs like in the "Country of Country" then I saw this movie. I noticed in that music shop in Germany it was chock full of Fender guitars- years before they were available in Europe. Was it a pawn shop full of guitars pawned by US airmen? Cash is shown with a German guitar. Why didn't he buy an American guitar from that shop? No sight of George Jones at Texarkana -he had morphed into Elvis.
yeah I've already added a comment sometime ago but uhm... I would like to comment again... I loved the trailer but erm you should've added a little "softer" Transition between the "Hello I'm Johnny Cash"- part and the music before that...
