Omg! i have been wanting to start making my own bags with my own designs (no pre-made stuff. all original) and i knew i could do iron on but now u have inspired me completely i love all u guys do !!!
the iron on thing. you can do it in paint as well. just paste the picture and go up the image. then go to flip and rotate. you should figure it out from there
Shut-up seeker2dream, you sound like a nightmare. These guys make it look really easy but it's not. I ruined a new t-shirt trying this, but my client will be ready for the show and thats all that matters. Oh well...
do you have to use photoshop? I MEAN cant you just print the picture? without going to photoshop ? and do you need a transfer paper. does it work on normal printer papers? :)
@TheMinusGirl you don't need photoshop, just some program to reverse the image because if not, when you put the design on, it'll come out backwards. and the reason why you need transfer paper is because it transfers just the ink onto the shirt. regular paper won't do anything, all you'll end up with is a warm piece of paper... :/
i've just started making my own clothes and I'm still not very good at stitching (especially wide stitches) around sharp curves. After ironing on the applique is it necessary put a stitch around the edges? I image that it works just like interface with which you don't secure with a stitch but i'm not sure... anyone know the answer?
omg that comment just oh so necessary, thank you soooo much, seriously, that negative comment was so worth your time typing and has so much to do with the video.
i bought a transfer that's black and white, it says it's only for light material but i really want to put it on a black top! what will happen if i do?
I kinda did the same thing but i cut out a stencil. Then i sprayed paint the stencil on my gray shirt. Do you think the spray paint will wash off?? I'll send you guys pics of the shirt that i made with the stencil.
"black holes suck" XD i love it! i LOVE T-Shirts! it's an unatural affection! i think of them as my adopted children, only they only need baths once a week! to have my OWN would be nice! i had some tie-dies, but they've all been retired!! wo!
As All-WAYZ, you guys ROCK like a mountain top! I am sooooooooooooo glad I've subscribed to your shows... Now, I don't have to miss a show, I'll be damned if I do hot dammit!
hey guys, you inspire me so much that i bought myself a new sewing machine. I dont know how to sew yet but i'll learn somehow... and i m diggin out my old wardrobe and saving recyclable materials for ... PROJECTS!!!! YAY!
Did you say laser printer?!?! Just an FYI You have to be careful when using transfer paper in a laser printer, and make sure it is graded to work in one. In my experience, when I worked in a copy shop, we had an associate put transfer paper graded for a inkjet into our color laser, and spent two days trying to get the stuff cleaned out of our printer.
Do you think threadbangers could show how to make a bag for a digital camera or computer, something w/ durable material and padded? They are so expensive at stores and usually made w/ leather which I don't want to use. I love your show!
corinne, im sorry, but you need to come up with a new routine when rob is talking. it annoys the hell out of me. everytime, you look at rob, look at the camera, and nod your head until its your turn to start talking again. again, im sorry, but seriously.
Have you noticed sanichiwa that I do the same thing when Corinne is talking ? To tell you the truth there isn't much else to do but smile and nod till the other person is done...If you watch any show on TV with 2 hosts...they also do the same thing....Rob
The iron ons that I use are made so that you don't have to reverse the image. I highly recommend finding that instead because it's very nice and doesn't crumble off like some others.
Also, getting iron on letters are a good idea, too
I once made all my friends tee shirts with some pictures on them and their names and they loved them!
Uhh... the tree design looks like Timberland logo XD It's even more rare if you make own designs on Photoshop (or other software applications) for your lame t-shirts! If using available logos (images etc), make sure it's only for private use (hence no money-making schemes)

You can applique almost any fabric, but for practical purposes use cottons, plain or printed about the weight of dress shirts or jammies. The fusible web is available at any fabric store or department.
get heat bond, wallmart or chain store style fabric and craft place like michael or joanne. It comes in thick heavy duty and thinner one that wont be to stiff.

you need the iron on transfer paper.
