  • Man or Astroman? used audio clips from this film in one of their songs.

  • Retitled "Monster In The Surf" when it was released for TV showings a few years after it was made. This comes from the song of the same name (which is heard briefly in this preview): "Got a monster in the surf Yeah, yeah, yeah! Monster in the surf Yeah, yeah, yeah - Yeah, yeah, yeah! Everybody's sleepin' - Monster comes a-creepin' - Yeah, yeah, yeah! Yeah, yeah, yeah!" Etc.
  • God damn, you're right. That IS the tie fighter sound. Is everything nicked?

  • yeh yeh yeh! this one will kill you! lmao

  • 0.18 Is that a Boom Mic at the top there?

  • it totally killed me.(sarcastically)

  • Beauties in bikinis, SINNING. Lololo.

  • When is the blu-ray coming out?

  • bitchin soundtrack! love to hate this!

  • Beach Girls vs TIE Fighter

    MAKE IT HAPPEN

  • Is the word "shaking" shaking?

  • sounds like a tie fighter.

  • Man, those are skanky looking chics

  • He's just mad because he can't get any.

  • 0:13....ISN'T THAT THE SOUND THAT THE TIE FIGHTER MAKES IN STAR WARS?

  • Chicks, do you have a problem? You won't have after you've met the monster on the beach!

  • I't dumps into the ocean....YUK

  • You bet---the REALLY scary things are the ideas for movies that can come out of some Hollywood producer's mind.

  • This was garbage.

  • Frank Sinatra's cranking out classics while his kids carry on his legacy with "These Boots Are Made for Walking" and "Beach Girls and the Monster" soundtracks. Wow. Unbelievable.

  • Another silly movie was Wrestling Women vs the Aztec mummy.

  • "From Hollywood's famed Whiskey a-go go!"

    Never heard of it.

  • @delavalmilker Holy crap! the Whisky fans will be shocked--it was a seriously happinin place back then!

  • I WANNA C IT !!!!! PLEEEEASE....

  • Hey, I wanna make hey-hey in the moonlight while the monster watches...

  • Hic-a-doo-la!!

  • Cryptozoology novel about two boys who find something strange on the beach one night see video book trailer

  • Obra prima da Tosco Films Production!

  • 0:13 - 0:17

The monster sounds like the TIE Fighter.

  • Give the monster a break, he's just horny

  • This film is listed among the 100 Most Enjoyably Bad Movies Ever Made in Golden Raspberry Award founder John Wilson's book THE OFFICIAL RAZZIE® MOVIE GUIDE.

  • Oh my god this can't be for real!!!!

  • Now this was when movies were great! Lot's of camp, cheap thrills and scary monsters.

  • Comment removed

  • So lame I won't even watch this horny.

  • Tose police men seem like abbott and costello.

  • yeh yeh yeh :)

  • This is why HUMANOIDS FROM THE DEEP (1980) had to come...

  • man i wana live in the 60s!

  • I wonder how many Academy Awards this won.

  • I could be wrong but I think the monster is really a man in a suit..........Ya think?

  • I have just watched this movie!,..i wholeheartedly recommend it as one of the most painfully funny, and probably one of 'THE' worst films i have ever seen.

I won't ruin it for you, just to say that chap playing 'Dad' just has to be seen to be believed!.

On a new level below amateur, more like reluctant acting.

    But my god it's funny!.

  • looks like he has dildo on his head

  • hiliarously cheesy and fun looking trailer just about to watch this on youtube later!

  • I don't see how "The Sound of Music" beat this out for Best Picture Oscar.

  • now i know where the tie fighter sounds come from

  • An appropriate modern subtitle for this "movie" would be:

"Before the terror that was Jaws, before the horror that was Creature...there was this piece of shit."

  • "Yeh yeh YEH! This one will kill you!"

  • is that a microphone over sue's head at 0:43?

  • @cassla125 yep, it sure is.

  • Only thing scary about this movie is the music.

It makes horror movies from India seem scary.

  • ROFL !!!!

  • This film literally MST3Ks itself. I must see it.

  • We have this one on Dvd,it came in a two piece set.It came along with Brain from Planet Arous. This movie is so bad it's good.

  • @oldbassboy49 If it features beach girls it better damn well come in a two-piece.

  • Hey ham I gotcha beat. Reminds me of Washington Irving cove at Keystone!

  • luckiest monster in the world

  • did anyone else see the fricken boom mic at :19?

  • Ebay has got DVD copies for sale at a very reasonable price; the DVD package contains many "behind-the-scenes" pics, a good quantity even in color...

  • I have got to get this. Where can I find it?

  • MUSIC BY FRANK SINATRA!!!!!... jr....

  • "Whatdaya make of this?"

"Where's the other end of it?"

    "It JUMPED into the ocean!"

    Superb dialogue sequence.

  • Notice the boom at :19? On the bright side it stars The Watusi Dancing Girls from Holly wood's famed Wiskey A-Go-Go who are beauties surfing and sinning, making hay-hay in the moonlight.... Racist? Nah.

  • JAJAJAJAJAJAJAJAJ XD XD XD

  • Why don't people dance like this anymore!!!!!

  • Man I wish I could watch this. It looks so promising.

  • The maker of this movie could have portaryed the monsters as African-American s or black people just because of the color of their skin!!!

  • Unless I'm thinking of another horror flick, this one has only one (1) "monster", a so-called "sea-monster" in-fact...

  • This movie is very very racist!!!!!

  • @SoldierUSArmy

    How so?

  • Didn't Dr. Forrester unleash this on poor Joel and the bots at one time? This has MST3k fodder written all over it!

  • It never made it onto MST3K somehow. We watched this yesterday (it rocks!) and were definitely thinking the same thing.

  • This flick is still considered to this day a "cult classic". Such being the case, what character stood out as most memorable, or even what scene?

  • This and "The Horror of Party Beach" would make a great double bill!

  • The saddest part is the way the announcer says with enthusiasm that the music is by :"Frank Sinatra," and then his voice drops off when he adds, "Jr."

  • This is wonderful - throw in the Bomboras and all the world's problems are forgotten !!! Thanks much !!!

  • Shawn, I hope you wouldn't classify the Karloff movies as the same sort of cheesy stuff as "Beach Girls and the Monster". Ol' Boris gave some class to most of the films he made, however cheap.

  • The Beach Monster sounds a lot like a TIE fighter.

  • this seems more like a comedic version of the 50s horror movies.

  • Uh-oh. They're surfin' and sinnin'

  • @nickagneta, what's sinning? I see beauty.

  • Soundslike the 60's Batman announcer

Same bat time, same bat channel.... LOL

  • @CanadaguyRudey What's this?! Our Dynamic Duo facing a fiendish fish out of water?! Bloody bikinis and swim trunks as far as the eye can see?

    Find out next week....

  • campy but fun trailer!

  • The monster looks like a cross between Mull from Frankenstein Meets The Space Monster, and the frog things from The Horror Of Party Beach.

This trailer makes me lonely for Saturday nights and WPIX 11's Chiller Theatre and WNEW 5's Creature Features.

Cable needs to get a station singly dedicated to these types of movies and the 60's horror and sci-fi series stuff. Sci-Fi (or Syfy as they call it NOW..) is even more of a joke than it was before.

ECW on Syfy-wow what a deal..

  • i agree with you shawnster65!

  • Why thank ya' ! Nice to see someone else appreciates the oldies. I'll give AMC SOME credit-they showed 2 Boris Karloff movies today, "Bedlam" and "The Walking Dead" and then they had "Earth VS. The Spider."

There again it's Halloween and they have to have a few movies to round out their usual lame lineup of the Halloween series and whatever other cheap movies get them free airtime from their sponsors...

  • thanks, yeah i have seen those movies on veoh website but i still agree with you though!

  • Surprised Sam the Sham & the Pharaohs didn't make a cameo appearance on the beach..wooly bully wooly bully.

  • Good point! They would've fit right in, considering the timeline of when this movie was made (1964).

  • The whiskey, I love it

  • Awesome!! Love the Phantom Surfers of this tune.

  • Jon Hall..."Rama of The Jungle" bwana

Where are the Watusi dancers today?

    Tarzan like!

  • The Watusi dancers are probably collecting Social Security by now!!!

  • this movie was also called monster from the surf

  • Right, when A.I.P. released it to television, they re-edited it and used the different (better) title.

  • Campy classic?...most definitely!

    Cinematic masterpiece?...probably not.

However, most indelible for various reasons, most of all the presence of Ms. Sue Casey (aka "Vicki"), such an elegant and sexy Lady. This groovy flick is recognized as a cult classic to this day...one thing for sure, they don't make 'em like this anymore!

  • I think the monster is kinda cute.

  • This movie took 10 Oscars. ! hahaha

  • Or maybe 10 Oscar Meyer Weiners at the camp fire!

  • Surplus tin man costume , totally dreadful kinda Ghost of Dragstrip Hollow movie with a beach , But at least the music WAS good in Dragstrip . music in this is , well, forgettable. Frank Sinatra Jnr did it HIS way !!!

  • See the 'boom mike' in the shot (Top center of frame) with the two cops talking about the crime scene at the beach, hilarious.

  • This scared me as a kid on the Saturday Creature Feature? LOL

  • The high point of Frank Sinatra Jr.'s career?

  • Why does the monster's roar sound like a TIE Fighter doing a dive bomb attack?

  • Were these type movies suspossed to sexually arouse men? I cant imagine a guy today watching this and getting hard... Heh!

  • making hey-hey! in the moonlight, while the monster watches

  • fun trailer!

  • This trailer boggles the mind....i must see the whole thing

  • The monster looks like Dorothy's Tin Man

  • This is the pinnacle of human civilization right here

  • Har har har at 1:06. The monster is a conehead.

  • Yeh Yeh Yeh!

    This one will kill you!

    awesome!!!!

  • Is there a soundtrack LP from this flick?

  • are you fricking serious? that trailer is so hilarious-it seemed like a parody or something

  • There's a good song in this this filmed called MONSTER FROM THE SURF.

  • Making hay hay...lol

  • Compare to this flick, Horror at Party Beach looks like a classic.

  • The funniest cliché I´ve ever seen!

  • "If you see this ghoul, play it cool."

  • This Movie is under another TiTle,"MONSTER FROM THE SURF.

  • Did anyone else notice the giant boom mike at the top of the screen when they showed Sue Casey? Classic.

  • Hahahahahahaha!

  • My thoughts exactly.

  • I bought the DVD. It's pretty hilarious. :)

  • nice 2 watch

  • Classic B film! Great post OurMan. I think this was also titled "Horror at Party Beach" wasn't it?

  • No, the actual other title was "Monster From The Surf".

  • no, it was the praty beach monster.

  • fgfhdgh

  • This was produced BY John Hall the "30's/40's action movie hero who also STARS. YEH ! Yeh ! Yeh ! ya gotta love this stuff..Thank you Ramar of the Jungle !

  • oh my gosh, if anybody has a download link for this movie PLEASE FORWARD! much appreciated.

  • I never heard of this movie. They could have shown this on Mystery Science Theater 3000.

  • Making HEY-HEY in the moonlight!

  • Never saw this movie before; it looks interesting.

  • Ha ha! This looks amazing!
