this movie had a good begining and good silver age representation but the end baddy was trash. i would recomend all star superman/batman under the red hood/justice league crisis on two earths as my favs... with mask of phantasm /superman/batman apocalypse and batman beyond return of the joker right behind.

The detective and the martian in human form's designs and voices were so similar that I couldnt tell them apart. All other designs were very cookie cutter and personalities were likewise generic. Them suddenly fighting pterodactyls was silly and then aquaman showing up at the end seemed pointless.

The comics book "DC: The New Frontier" is much more of this film but the adaptap for animated is very cool, I recomend look this films AND read this history comic history.

There are more than one Green Lantern. This is the first Silver Age one, Hal Jordan. If your referring to John Stewart, the black Green Lantern, then he comes way later on.

The costumes looked different in this movie mainly due to the fact that the film took place possibly in the 1950's (think 1953 ), they had to go with the retro look because it stays true to the comic source which the storyline came from.
BTW if we want to speak about mere technic: the Marvel movies are usually not very good. I'm a Marvel fan and a true lover of cinema, comics and any kind of popular arts, I think I know what I'm speaking about: usually (and sadly) DC cartoons/animated movies are totally superior to their Marvel counterparts.
This is the best animated feature I've seen in quite some time - clearly it was written by people who understand what comics and good story-telling are about.
If only more super-hero movies were as good as this.

i just saw this movie just now...and dang! i wish i saw it the 1st day it came out! one of the best super hero animation movies I've ever seen! :) great- dialogue, storyline, and art animation. if you haven't seen this movie yet...it's ah must watch excellent movie!

I would say it was even with Public Enemies.
But Wonder Woman is the best so far.

@xDCxLegends Wow, you sound stupid as fuck. Gotham Knight wasn't even bad, Doomsday was OK. Green Lantern was OK ,it's just that the story is overplayed. Never will it be better than Public Enemies and ya the only thing I agree with you is that the Wonder Woman movie was really good.

Yeah watching Bats defend a mass murdered at the expense of Justice, righteously avenging a loved one, and just plain common decency makes for a great movie lol.
Seriously though the only thing bats didn't do was go down onthe joker.I'm pretty sure he did in an off-camera conjugal visit to Arkham though lol.

with this and Red Hood,I felt like I was watching an actual theatrical film. I wish this movie was longer though.

The Green Lantern being portrayed is Hal Jordan, to those who don't know, don't fret - Stewart is still black.

The original green lantern was white. they made Jon Stewerts the main green lantern in the cartoon because they wanted to show diversity.

There are more than one Green Lantern. This is the first Silver Age one, Hal Jordan. If your referring to John Stewart, the black Green Lantern, then he comes way later on.

The costumes looked different in this movie mainly due to the fact that the film took place possibly in the 1950's (think 1953 ), they had to go with the retro look because it stays true to the comic source which the storyline came from.

Sorry but it is not like so. The comic is maybe THE OPPOSITE of the "Ultimate Universe" by Marvel ;)

BTW if we want to speak about mere technic: the Marvel movies are usually not very good. I'm a Marvel fan and a true lover of cinema, comics and any kind of popular arts, I think I know what I'm speaking about: usually (and sadly) DC cartoons/animated movies are totally superior to their Marvel counterparts.

This is the best animated feature I've seen in quite some time - clearly it was written by people who understand what comics and good story-telling are about.
