i just finish the series...and somehow i am not at all satisfy with the ending...can it be that it is just too sad...but i have watch other series where most people died and i was okay with that........idk..somehow i am just really bother with the ending.........

I agree the ending WAS very emotional / intense but neither directors nor fans/critics can decide on the ending for this drama because the storyline was based on an actual story in China's history..just knowing that it actually HAPPENED to this family in the past makes it even more emotional to watch lol =(
