I use same camcorder. First was very dissapointed becouse interlacing as well. To do 16:9 and right quality need to be used any video converter with resize and deinterlace option. I use Hamster free video converter and set 720x409 final size. Nice video anyway.. :)

i choose the 16:9 format but on my pc i can watch my videos only in 4:3 :(

@zajzapupu89 - hi, just render it in anything over 720 resolution and YouTube gives the HQ or HD option. Remember though, this is an SD camcorder so not true HD

HI ,I have just bought this cam for my sister.. I have tested it and the videos are only coming out in squashed 4:3 format on my mac and also windows pc. It works in mediashow but I dont want to use it as I have imovie etc!

saving it as a WMV looses the high quality feature. since it wont be an MP4 file anymore

WMV in vegas is actually the best filetype for motion. It gives good results and relatively small filesize :)
