Electra's final dance of death is just magical in this wonderful film of Götz Friedrich starred by Leonid Rysanek, one of her greatest roles! I think this film production is among the best opera movies made ever. This excerpt is just an example, and I strongly recommend the DVD, which is still available. The package includes also a very interesting document about the making of the movie. It's just so pity that Friedrich had time to do so few opera films. I'm expecting more directors like him.

Just look at her eyes from 2 minutes on! Leonid Rysanek makes really wonderful role in this opera movie. Never seen like this before!
