I'm a trackworker too, thank you for this video the work is dangerous I should have took the job with correction instead of track. I breath in all the steel dust and bad dirty air and have deal with working under train traffic. I rather deal with the crimnals then take this slow death. The majority of trackworkers when they retire dont even live five years.

@moegrimm key word "majority". It depends on your lifestyle also, heavy drinker, smoker

as well as your heredity. I am not trying to downplay the danger. You need to score very high

on the exam to get a chance. These type of lists are big. The current list expires on 2013

and they barely cracked the #1,000 mark.

My husband works for NYC MTA doin this very job. Its very hard work and these men put their lives on the line everyday or night they clock in. Its a very dangerous job.
