Finally a song that captures what some of us feel when we lose a loved one. I lost my brother and best friend together, 21 yrs. ago and not a day goes by that I'm not reminded of them somehow. Whether it's the time that reminds me of their birthdays or like the song says the sound of someones laughter that sounds like theirs and you just want to stick around a little longer and hear them. Sometimes someone resembles them and you just can't help but stare, almost close of giving them a hug.

When I was 10, I lost my mother suddenly from a tragic car accident caused by a drunk teen. She was just 34. My dad then became mom and dad to me. The only daughter of 6 kids and born on Father's Day, I was spoiled by my dad - just a bit. =)

But when I lost him 20 years later, after helplessly watching him battle and suffer through throat cancer for 14 months, it was much harder for me. He was 53. When this song came out, it totally expressed what I felt about my dad. I love you, Daddy-O.
