  • i am a soccer fan and do not know much about rugby but is new zealand vs south africa a big rivalry??? or is it agains australia

  • @MrMexicanmango New Zealand has a big rivalry against both countries.

  • @MrMexicanmango Springboks vs All Blacks are traditionally the biggest rivalry.

  • thats me @1:00 lol

  • Piri Weepu is fucking evil :)

  • Two great rugby nations going head to head

  • best Haka ever

  • i shit my pants watching that...

  • Comment removed

  • yeah piri

  • its cold!

  • i love that haka could you imagine facing the best team in the world and having them pull a cut throat gesture at you? I would shit my fucking pants!

  • @rorygbnz I would not. I would take them on! Go Zimbabwe!

  • @rorygbnz hmm there the best but there not in any sense of the word the most physical not even close there alot more skilled base and thats why they win games

  • Personally I prefer the Kamate Kamate Haka but it's a phenomenal sight whichever one is done. Gives me goosebumps every single time :)

  • you talk about passion in young nz boys

  • That's what you call passion

  • awesome ^^ gotta love the All Blacks (but only after the Springboks :))

  • @aks73 These guys are huge man. If they did that throat slit thingy in front of me, I'd be fucking scared!

  • who won?

  • @aks73 When you're in their presence the atmosphere preforming the haka is intimidating as hell. It freaks the other team out.

  • @aks73 nah mate, morris dancers look rediculous

  • @butterfingers1197 well suited for a hard mans game like rugby so sir are you a soccer supporter then lol

  • @butterfingers1197 oh fukin get over it!

  • @comeo325 yeah pretty much, schools have their own personalised haka too. they do it sometimes when a teacher leaves or something along those lines. or like fishy said above.

  • the should come out to goldbergs music

  • @ldtisa for sure man...you might want to allso check out the rugby league teams... some wicked haka going on with those boys!!!......warriors!!!!

  • when they do the haka it sounds like they are trying getting there sh$t down the toilet

  • @jjloubser coz u have no culture dats why u dont understand the the Haka... maybe u were brought up with wats in front of u,dats why u have knw respect to other people's culture... soo u can go shit ur words in ur toilet....dats where u cn sit n wip ur Ass if u have one..!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @jjloubser lol. did someone put a "whoopie coushin" in your ears? remove that turn up the volume try again

  • this might be a stupid question but do teams do haka's against each other in New Zealand before games at any level any age?

  • @LdotisaG Sometimes if a team wins the final of their grade they might do one after the game. Or if two schools have a rivalry they will often start with one.

  • @fishyman1942 really? everyone must know it by heart in New Zealand then?

  • @fishyman1942 yeah cool, thanks for the feedback :)

  • @LdotisaG yes they do, well the at the finals - some high schools have their own individual haka, think of a haka that a tribe / city did back in the 1800s... I remember when the New Zealand basket ball team made the world semi finals a few years ago - they did the haka - because it is a source of pride!

  • @LdotisaG not a stupid question :) they do, cus there are different tribes in new zealand who all have their own haka :)

  • @LdotisaG Recently when I have played field hockey a few of the heavier populated maori regions such as Bay of Plenty have done the Haka towards our team. To me, it Insults me when people say it's unfair because it's intimidating... The haka is a challenge to the other team, it's not a scare tactic. It is part of NZ culture and it always will be.

  • @LdotisaG Ive did a haka before lol :)

  • @LdotisaG most high school first XV have their own haka and do it. Regional rep teams don't, but national age group teams do.

  • @LdotisaG some do...mainly in high school prior to the game...every school has its own heritage. some have maori, others have european...one school we faced had scottish heritage, so they played the bag pipes and sing a scottish folk song...other schools, had their own haka...my school had a tongan and samoan hymn..most clubs now dont emphasise on a haka. not sure why. :)

  • @Lavulo187 we had a New Zealand tour from Australia this year hahah we vsed this one team before the game they got in a huddle and said over and over KILL THE AUSSIE SCUM SKILL THE AUSSIE SCUM hahah they also had the best haka we only beat them by like what 5 points haha but we got in a fight half one haha cuz the new zealand scrum half punched of of his own props in the face and blamed it on our props epic fight great game lucky win still disrepectful "kill the aussie scum!" =)

  • @Lavulo187 okay mate. Cheers for that :)

  • This is awesome! gives me chills down my spine watching it

  • The slit throat gesture should be banned it has absolutely no place on a Rugby field the 'Haka' was 1st performed on a rugby field in 1905 it was purely for entertaiment value. The whole 'Haka' dance has at times gone too far before, it has no real meaning on a rugby field as they are about to begin playing a GAME not a WAR.

  • @MrConnolly25 actually it had been done since the 1880's. And at first it wasnt done purely for entertainment value. War haka are just one type of haka. The Ka Mate haka talks of a triumph of life over death.

  • @UHtiger yeah sorry i meant the 1st time they toured Britain that was when they were officially known as the 'All Blacks.

  • @MrConnolly25

in maori culture, that isn't a "throat slit" you and the poster of the video are incorrect in calling it that. the gesture of moving the hand over the throat is a symbol of drawing the breath of life deep within oneself, as a source of energy, just like haka proclaims: "ka mate, ka mate - ka ora, ka ora" (i am death, i am death - i am life, i am life"

  • @AntoineLubnan im not having that, a slit throat gesture is a slit throat gesture end of.iv seen plenty of posts on here that contradict what particular words and gestures mean but i will never accept that it wasn't a slit throat gesture.

  • @MrConnolly25 The thing is, for the Maori you could take that as a sign of respect. Why bother doing the 'slit throat gesture' if your not a worthy enough apponant. They dont always do that action, only when an apponant is deemed good. You, offcourse, wouldnt understand this because your ignorant.

  • @o8kate8o And you know this how?LOL many respected journalists stated in their respected opinions the 'gesture' crossed the line i agreed thats my opinion you calling me ignorant won't change what i think. It's laughable people like you can call me ignorant over me saying i disagree with something as when all said and done they are about to begin playing a GAME.

  • @MrConnolly25 I know this because im part Maori! Are these 'respected journalists part Maori? hmm. If not whatg would they know. It doesnt cross the line, unless you make something more out of a gesture that can get translated into respect for the other team. Plus its not laujghable about me calling you ignorant, its a fact and its sad you cant see it.

  • @o8kate8o Yes it is laughable as you keep calling me ignorant then you call journalists ignorant cause they are not Maori so dont understand lol what makes you so laughable is that over the years and still now New Zealand players who have absolutely no Maori background also take part in a Maori dance. If you behave by calling people ignorant for not agreeing with something that would be by definition ignorant on your part

  • @MrConnolly25 The New Zealand players are raised with the culture, they are New Zealanders. Also many of the players that look like they dont have any maori background, do. Look at Cory Jane, part Maori. Played for the New Zealand Maori team. Plus you were the one that bought up the journalists. I also never said i wasnt ignorant, in many cases i am, but unlike you i know this about myself.

  • @o8kate8o I have looked up about the Kapo O Pango to ensure i at least got a prespective of what people thought so on this occasion i am not being ignorant.I have also asked and posted to many people claiming to be Maori or part Maori for their take on it only to recieve conflicting answers this clearly shows i on this occasion am not being ignorant. The New Zealand players raised with the culture is an incredibly vague reply as the non Maori players are not raised like the actual Maori players

  • @MrConnolly25 Well actually in all New Zealand schools you have to learn atleast a little bit about New Zealand culture i.e Maori. Im talking from experience. i myself am Ngati Porou so i think i know a little bit about that haka. Of course their are going to be conflicting answers, isnt their always. Many of the 'Maori Players' are raised the same way as 'non Maori Players', with the same education. Some of the Maori's aren't Bilengual so how can you put them all in the same group.

  • @o8kate8o i thinks it right for players to have a passion for thier country and heritage. i hate players who dont sing the national anthem of there country. if was a manger of and international team i would want them to have pride for there country. thats why NZ are so successful

  • @thechivers17 good point :) and yes i completely agree with ya on that one.. sends goosebumps all over watching this , every single time :)

  • @thechivers17 They definitly should, it's certainly important! (for both having passion and singing the national anthem)

  • @o8kate8o I see the French got a 2500 euro fine from the IRB for challenging the Haka.

  • @MrConnolly25 Yeah and i disagree with that fine. I wasn't the one that fined them. They got fined for stepping over the halfway line, not because of the challenge itself!

  • @o8kate8o What you have said about it being down to crossing the half way line is an outright lie the IRB stated why they fined France and it was because they deemed the French players ''Challenge'' inapropriate because of the cultural nature and significance of the Haka.See people like you cannot admit what most neutrals accept ie challenging the Haka is a big no no.

  • @MrConnolly25 False. The IRB stated that they were only charged because they came to far forward. Plus the haka can be challenged otherwise other countries like Samoa and Tonga wouldn't be able to do their own. I was impressed with the way they challenged. It can be challenged and it will be challenged in the future. Maybe your media was told differently then that of NZ, because i remember that it was because they came ahead of the halfway line, no other reason.

  • @o8kate8o Yes in part the fine is because they stepped over th 1/2 way line. According to the laws set by the IRB you are not allowed to encroah within 10 metres of the Haka.So yes basically you have to stay behind the 1/2 way line which is still ridiculous. My whole point is the Haka is becoming so controversial that opposing sides and fans who once respected it are tiring down to the fact its become bigger than the actual game. Also now gangs have taken to perfoming flash Haka's on the streets?

  • @o8kate8o this is bullshit though by coming past the halfway line it's challenge accepted this law is a disrepect to the haka and all teams that oppose it it's not fair to let them set a challenge and a team like the french aren't aloud to challenge it what happened to the old days like when andersan challenged it or when the french did 2 or 3 years ago the sports being ruined and now with these stupid tackle rules making game softer soon we will be playing NFL or touch footy

  • @7dayspking I never said it was fair, i was just stating a fact. In truth i think one of the best hakas was the the rugby league world cup final between nz and aussie because they ended up nose to nose. It was brilliant.

  • @o8kate8o thats k mate

  • @MrConnolly25 you are wrong, its because they crossed the half-way line. The All Blacks and their fans had no problem with the French doing that.

  • @jmarshallrwc2011 It was because they encroched within 10 metres of the Haka, which basically happened when they crossed the 1/2 way line give or take.I know this to be true as i have checked why the IRB fined the French

  • @AntoineLubnan The thing i really dont like is people like me will respect a 'Cultural' dance and if as you say it is not a slit throat gesture in Maori culture almost every other culture will recognise it as a slit throat thus as we respect the Haka (ka mate) we should be afforded respect back and a 'slit throat' is not respectful

  • @MrConnolly25 It is part of Kapa O Pango, you dont like it dont bloody watch it :D

  • @JazzyBobazzy69 any1 who watches Rugby was forced to watch it,i looked on here to see why the did it

  • @MrConnolly25 it dosent represent throat sliting it means taking a breath before battle.

  • I think I'm going to start to listening to Haka When I work out get super pumped up.

  • mmh Im professional BALLET dancer. You can ask me to give you ballet show

  • why the hell would they bann kapa o pango. ka mate is so much more inapropriate than this. kapa o pango is a haka about new zealand allblacks. ka mate is about death and how the women who sat on the kumara pit protected te rauparaha from death( the sun rises again) and it also mentions her muff( the hairy man )

  • springboks shitting themselves

  • @BoltonASD and then the Bokke winning more world cups than the All Chokes heehee

  • Cut Throat Haka has show up again! in the world cup NZ vs France clash, and this time All Black really cut up France with a clear slit!

  • and i have litterally emptied my bowels >.<

  • So it's SA, England or Ireland!

  • Wish someone would do the oki koki back at them

  • @rhysvw what the fuk is the oki koki? do you mean the haka, if you don't understand what it is then don't comment you ignorant fuk!

  • @rugbygirl34 it's a fuckin stupid piece of shit dance that kids do at a karaoke

  • @WhiskerScot569 hahahaha, ok looks like someone's been horribly beaten by a New Zealander, white trash......

  • @WhiskerScot569 isn't your race the ones that wear those pretty little skirts with your socks pulled up to your knees like a school girl?

  • @rugbygirl34 And?? what's your point.......I told you what you wanted to know

  • @WhiskerScot569 i dont recall asking YOU anything dikhed, my point is if u haven't even got enough respect to call it by its proper name FUCK UP, the Haka wasn't created just so the All Blacks could do it before every game, it was done by my ancestors to the poms when they tried to come over and take our land, its not about sport its about MY MAORI HERITAGE! Make all the fun you want about the AB's but when you start on the Haka your fucking with my culture, thats my point so FUCK YOU!

  • @rugbygirl34 ok you think i mean the haka i know what the haka is. i was answering your question about what the oki koki was.I don't mind the maori's, all-blacks or any new zealanders. if you got the wrong idea of what i meant im sorry i was just informing you of what you wanted to know.

so i'll answer your question more clearly:-....The oki koki is a fuckin stupid piece of shit dance that kids do at a karaoke not the haka

  • @WhiskerScot569 OOOOOhhhhhhh, right, got it, sorry about that, i had just finished watching "Forever Strong" and felt violated, i had to watch this vid to feel clean again, then i saw that comment from that guy, and i don't remember much after that, i also apologize for the remark about you wearing skirts, i think the Irish and the Scots are THE staunchest race on earth i really do, my Daddys Irish and I'm just as proud of that as am of being Maori, once again i am sorry,

  • @rugbygirl34 it's ok i get it all the time and i've been to new zealand it's a beautiful country and the people are lovely plus it's not hard to mistake something somebody's saying when you don't talk to them personally anyway while im scottish by birth im spanish and italian through my parents so your not the only one who's multi-national :)

  • I think i just shat myself...

  • 17 people hate NZ

  • @netballr 759 don't care....

  • what do they talking about ???

  • very intimidating indeed!

  • do the all blacks have some amendment to perform the haka each time? other teams should be able to do something back? lol they just have to take it

  • @MoundsOfPow Other teams do do something back, watch a samoa or a fiji game they have their own traditional challenge. Its just no country has the balls to tell the All Blacks that they can't do the haka

  • fuck up black corn

  • thats mad even ali williams did a pukana too much bro

  • They should do this haka against the French this Saturday for the RWC

  • @839881561 Nah bro they'll be saving it for the final hahaha

  • right when they did that cut-throat bit... i shat myself!:P but seriously tho this has 2 be the best Haka ever!!

  • Check out the steam coming out of the big guy on the left's nostril at 1:08. Aaahhhh so sexy!!!

  • they did the cut throat haka against wales in november 2010, AMAZING!

  • i prefer this haka

  • i do this before i have sex

  • One one hand, I LOVE the Haka...On the other, South Africa does contain Kwazulu Natal. This...this is a conflict for me.

  • I would be so scared if i was South Africa. Fuck New Zealand have an intense Chant.

  • 0:32 for Neemia Tialata in his Angry Bull Form of martial arts.

  • lmao its not cut throat it is Kapa o Pango and it isn't banned @MaJnr

  • 0:32 is he a Rhino? Elephants? Gorilla? Buffalo? or Human.. DAMN.

  • And it's really cool when you watch schools in NZ preform their own against each other.

  • I love the cut-throat haka!!

But I love it even more when two pacific nations do their hakas at the same time! That's just magical.

  • sick sick sick I love all these hakas. I'm from the uk but i support all blacks. The only reason why I watch rugby is because of the haka and the mighty All Blacks. I really hope they win the world cup this year :)

  • the haka is like a challenge right?

  • @cinderellaprincess1 Battle chant, I think. Google it.

  • @cinderellaprincess1 its a war dance ceremonial theres vidoes on utube of the plyers talking about the haka

  • This Kapa O Pango would be one of THE most powerful hakas Ive seen the All Blacks perform, it sent shivers through me just watching it - scary mother fu*&ers! Made me proud to be kiwi!

  • Is there more than one version of the Haka or is it just differant variations of the same one?Cant wait for Ireland to play on Sunday.(jus hope we do better than last time)

  • @777Trigger there are many different hakas. i'm no expert but I think each Maori tribe had their own haka or something.

  • @lasharn07 Ya,I know because the likes of Tonga,Samoa and Fiji do their own.Its just that I've seen New Zealand do a few versions.

  • Will the greatest rugby playing nation on the planet fulfill their destiny in 2011? As a Scot I can only dream about having players of the quality the All Blacks have but I wish you luck because you are the best and true warriors. Respect.

  • lol only the Aussies and SA receive this haka. Gotta love those rivalries

  • No Al Pacino speech could ever compare to this. Rugby > American Football.

  • OMG OMG OMG... is the cut throat HAKA not the best...

    boring boring rugby chiefs...

Check out the Haka vs fiji... war of the tribes its wicked...

  • @XavierDehahn it just brings up a little spirit of competition and makes the game a bit more interesting. Nobody killed anyone...

  • you can't ban the Haka, it's drama..... sometimes it's how the opposition responds to it which makes it great. Watch Ireland's response or Wales response in 2008. I think it's fantastic and would hate to see it banned.

  • MEAN ALL BLACKS KEEP IT UP I AM VOTING FOR YOU TO WIN WORLD CUP

  • i bet you the people who dislike this are all non Kiwi Lol

  • @josiahboy123 i doubt it, everybody likes the haka, just a few cunts ;)

  • The cut throat is my favorite. The idiots who found it offensive should be ashamed of themselves.

  • what would new zealand be like with out the good old game rugby

  • Just a comment on the ferocious thigh slapping - when I was an exchange student in America my host sister played "Powderpuff" football (which is where the senior girls play the junior girls in one football game each year). I taught her senior team the actions to the haka and the morning after they performed it at the game (which they won ^^) she comes up to me complaining. Pulls her shorts up and here are these massive bruises!

    Go All Blacks!

  • I think it was dumb to bann it , but oh well the all blacks are still the best team ever

  • I'm a true blue Aussie, but the cut-throat version of the Haka is the best damn one I've seen- good shit Kiwis

  • someone need to go to the toilet !

  • scary stuff!

  • I don't see the problem with the throat-slitting action. If you're on the other side, you grow a pair and stand up to it, don't whinge about it.

  • The only reason why they ban this was because this haka decrease confidence of players rapidly to a degree that it had to be ban! dont take my word for it look up the statistics all blacks never lost any game with this haka!

  • @MalJnr Once again, Kapa o Pango is not banned. It was performed at Eden Park 2011 when the All Blacks won the Bledisloe

  • @fishyman1942 Jus a joke look at my comment bro hehehe

  • @fishyman1942 Well the Kapa O Pango wasn't banned, but the "throat slashing" portion of it was. They do the kapa o pango, just they do a different action at the end, I think it mimics a slashing across the chest.

  • @ajmccool That's exactly what I've said on this video?

  • @ajmccool It's not supposed to symbolise slashing, it's supposed to symbolise taking your inner enrgy or : mana" and dragging it across your body to restore the power lost doing the haka

  • @MalJnr Its banned cause its inciting violence you fucking illiterate dumbcunt

  • @danielchatman93 its not banned you fucktard

  • @danielchatman93 its not

  • @danielchatman93 u dumb cunt its not banned so ur a illiterate dumb cunt!!!! its a joke u foreskin haha

  • @MalJnr this version was not banned but was controversial in the news because the cut throat was thought to inspire killing when it infact is drawing energy to the heart and lungs.

  • @RSvideosUK thats right it has nothing to do with throat cutting and never has.

  • @jonnyworx haha thanks for agreeing, thats rare on youtube :P

  • @MalJnr i swear they did this haka in the world cup a day ago ?

  • @seewhatisee2000 No that haka was Ka Mate

  • @MalJnr Youre a fuckin idiot.

  • look at them white boys do the haka...yeeeeahhh! make that ugly face!

  • sorted!!!....

  • Ali kills it. Why dont dey just put him in da back in da middle

  • @HorssingIT Ali kills it? Are you nuts bro? He gets into it hard! And that's what we want, to just go hard!

  • @michaellinehan710 that's what she said

  • Awesome! Anyone notice how McCaw is always pumped for the haka. Boks and Kiwi's - Two of rugby's greats. 20 Days until RWC kicks off!! Syked!

  • Do they still do kapa o pango or did they ban it a while ago just wondering? If so then that is a real shame cus its awesome!

  • @cw270693 It's not banned, they did it this weekend against the Wallabies. I think the 'cut throat' motion at the end was banned, but if you watch the one from the weekend Ma'a Nonu still does it :P

  • @fishyman1942

I like kapa o pango... and the throat slit gesture... but nonu kicking up a stink about wales standing there made me lose all respect for his character and personality...

still a good player... and hard as nails... but i still think he is a whiny bitch...

ofcourse I have good self preservation so don't come back with a "i bet you wouldn't say it to his face" answer, because ofcourse I wouldnt.... I also think Mike Tyson is a rapist, but i wouldnt say that to his face...

  • @BIackCorn Say what you like about him, I'm not a fan of his character either - for all I care he's an eyeliner wearing handbag slapper. But even if I did people are entitled to their own opinions and I'm not going to shut you down on that. What I will say, though, is that he is a mighty fine footballer.

  • @fishyman1942

Oh yes, I get that, he is an excellent player, and is extremely skillful, I was just merely saying I found it so disappointing that someone of his stature, and size and ability, could moan about something so...insignificant?!? or incredible...

I don't really know what the word is to describe it, what wales did was awesome, and I thought a very fitting reply... apparently not though...

  • @BIackCorn I'm Welsh and the Wales players standing their ground made me the proudest I have ever been.

  • @MrBluebirdsfc

I'm not welsh, but seeing them stand up like that made me get tingles down my back!!! it was just one of those awe inspiring moments.... shame about the scoreline afterwards.. would have been awesome to see that actually shake the AB's up so much that they lost, or nearly lost...

  • @BIackCorn Id say it to mike, i could use his money.

  • @Antifaith29

lol, yeh thats true I suppose, although no doubt he has a herd of greasy lawyers that would turn around a lawsuit and end up making you pay him....
