Great video!, at 48 seconds in my daughter and I are the silhouettes standing in your video, I took 7 still shots, 3 show up in the Duluth Tribune website in their photo gallery - thanks for sharing
We were sitting on the Bluefin Bay side of the rocks and I was able to capture the last 10-15 seconds or so on my camera. It should be up on YouTube momentarily. You'll be able to hear some of the panic in people's voices and see the silhouettes of folks running for cover!
yup, I was there when it happened and got it all on video. I was sitting a lot farther away and got the entire explosion. I kind of swore a lot in the video so I'll have to bleep it out first or something like that before putting it on. Maybe ill just dub some music to it. lol. Anyways, yeah it was pretty crazy. That has got to be the best fireworks show I've ever seen.
I was sitting on my porch with my dad when we saw the person who was lighting the fireworks jump down the rocks getting away, then they started exploding and my dad yelled for us to get inside. Not exactly a "relaxing" vacation
Me and a few friends were about 100 feet away from the explosion down the coast on the other side of the launch site. There had been a couple of low launches. By the second iffy launch I stood up and told everyone we should move. We didn't move quite yet, then one firework exploded in the launch tube causing all of the rest of the fireworks to explode. I yelled "oh my god, run." Hearing everyone scream, and the spark debris from the explosion flashing behind me was surreal. I hope every1 is ok!
apparently no one was seriously injured. Once the guys noticed a fire in the launch sets, they ran even before it started going off. The only injury was one guy who might need a couple stitches because he tripped on the rocks or something while running away
I know, I was there too!! I was videotaping the entire thing, but I stopped as soon as the explosion happened because it was so scary! Everybody started running for cover right away. At least nobody was hurt :) (I posted the video response to this)
yeah, I was on the other side of the explosion, up the coast. It was kind of scary to watch the crowds of people start running back up to their units backlit by the explosions.
or is it not cambride

My wife & our two young children witnessed this from 200 feet away near the boat ramp on the south side of the display. What a scary few moments!

I was there...
It was so scary! Everyone was running and screaming.... Including my family and me!
I just hope that the people setting off the fireworks were okay...
They seemed okay because they still finished up the fireworks that didn't explode with the others on the ground.
