Not quite. 2-strokes produce MUCH more power for their size. Why do you think the 450 4t bikes races the 250 2t bikes? The power curve is much smoother with a 4t. And actually fuel economy is debatable. The 2t uses more fuel for the same size, but a smaller size can be used to make the same power as a larger engine that burns just as much fuel. Sound is nothing more than preference. Engine effectiveness is dependent upon use. Oil usage is the place here 4t is the definitive winner.

for real dude put a helmet on i got lucky i had no helmet on and crashed at 35 mph on my 80 olny reason i didnt hit my head casue ive had practice and training to help prevent serious injury but truth being i got lucky

Pretty sure 4 strokes are like.. 20 times better than 2's in SOOO many different ways... fuel economy, power, sound, engine effectiveness, oil usage... I got a DR-Z400E 2001 super moto :D good fun for around town :P

Not quite. 2-strokes produce MUCH more power for their size. Why do you think the 450 4t bikes races the 250 2t bikes? The power curve is much smoother with a 4t. And actually fuel economy is debatable. The 2t uses more fuel for the same size, but a smaller size can be used to make the same power as a larger engine that burns just as much fuel. Sound is nothing more than preference. Engine effectiveness is dependent upon use. Oil usage is the place here 4t is the definitive winner.
