Those surf boards look like their almost the size of snowboards. They're tiny! My guess it is for the sake of stability. They also look like they're locked into them (at the feet), and no leash? I'm confuseled.

@twasbrillig33 there proberly around 5;8 to 6fters good for bigger waves. they have foot holes for really big wave surfers as the drop in can be really steep and no lead rope is so if they fall the board dosent get caught in thw wash and drag them under

I really think they should paddle in... I think it's a true test of your physical ability if you can paddle yourself into a very large wave. Anyone can paddle into a small one or get towed. It takes a real man (like my hubby) to make it into huge waves by paddling. Only those with kahones big enough to surf the BIG waves know what I'm talking about. Those are the days when the surf cleans up the boys, and separates the men who can surf. LOL.. but seriously.. This is awesome!!

Nobody on earth has ever paddled into Peahi when it's big - and nobody ever will. The wave moves too fast and if you are going to ride it, you have to tow in. That's exactly why Laird and his friends invented tow-in. It was a simple physics problem.

Well if you (or your hubby) can paddle 25 mph then you can catch a wave at Jaws , He can't, and neither can anyone else, therefore, we tow. It's a matter of physics not talent, strength or will power.
