They let them know and either they understood or not. Take a look at the hadith about Fatima (RA) when Ali (RA) wanted to marry the daughter of Abu Jahl. He did not leave it alone until the Prophet (SAW) himself said something even though Fatima did not approve. Does that look like he needed her permission?

They let them know and either they understood or not. Take a look at the hadith about Fatima (RA) when Ali (RA) wanted to marry the daughter of Abu Jahl. He did not leave it alone until the Prophet (SAW) himself said something even though Fatima did not approve. Does that look like he needed her permission?
