да в начале войны и по ходу в похожих ситуациях наших конечно косили из МГ34 и 42 и давили на панцерах. но в др случаях наши илы2, т34ки, артиллерийское наступление сравняли с землей их этих фрицов в окопе, укреплениях и городах. вот про это надо было показать в фильме. тогда вааще не будет критики и споров

Dont often see well recreated pZIII's and IV's from '41. Good Job. However, in a pitched fight. You wouldn't see anybody doing a slow assault walk. Nonetheless pretty good

My father was a german soldier between 1942 (then he was 18) and 1944 on the eastern front. The best shooters in a german company get the MG42, so my father too. TMy father rarely spoke about the war. This was a typical Russian attack in 1942 (!):

The German were in the trenches. The Russians got a lot of vodka before the attack. With force of arms drove the Russian officers hundreds of Russian into German machine-gun fire. drunken. This film isn´t realistic. Never again war!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Soviets lost 47 million (22 million soldiers and others civilians)

On 1 german soldier - 5 soviets soldiers and workers(militia)

@vlad9vt you're right, reality is much worse than each film, I don´t know the hole film. My father is deserted in 1944 and had a lot of luck. He was taken to a penal battalion and surrendered to the Americans in France

russia lose: 13.600.000 soldiers, 6.000.000 civilians= 19.600.000 deaths, perhaps a bit more but never 47 million, same to germans!

I was impressed with the Panzer 4 scene, I was surprised to see the shell flying through the air. Normally Russian war movies aren't made so well. (They just aren't.) I guess it was a crime to show a Russian die in a war movie during the reign of Stalin. But yes, the quad Maxim scene was shit. After the Germans got shot, everybody just stood there, like idiots.

The Russian name of this movie is "Dneprovsky rubezh" (20090. I would translate it as "Dnieper defense line". Dnieper is a big river that flows throughout Russia, Belarus and Ukraine.

The war on the Eastern Front (WWII) was the biggest battlefield in human history. About 30 million people (many were civilians) died on this theater. Watching this movie is like watching history happening in front of my eyes. I had seen a lot of Western and Hollywood WWII movies, but I had never seen such an authentic and spectacular movie like this one.
