Ashley's pitch was bizarrely off, especially at the beginning. Something about her voice (and her acting) always seemed weird to me, though. I was never a big fan of either of these girls, though. Francesca's performance style bothered me because she always did the same squinting and head-shaking no matter what she was acting.

He really made the wrong decision here. If he had kept Fran, then Keisha and Fran would have been in the following singoff and then the survior of that one would be in next one against Rachel/Sarah. Either way, Sarah would have been in the final, if he had got rid of Ashley now. Hope you can follow what i was saying.

she was wonderful indeed. I'm pretty sure ALW did it because he wanted to get rid of the rumours about Fran only being there because of Denise, and that you could only win if you're a proffesional. Don't get me wrong - Fran was always my favourite, so I don't think it's right, but I think that's why he did it. She should have been saved though!

The song's not that simple if done correctly. There are a lot of nuances in the notes and the pacing can be tricky. However, Francesca was definitely better.

Both Ashley and Fran were great, though personally, i thought that Fran should have been saved. Dont understand ALW at all saving ashley after saying he didn't rate her voice :S makes no sense really. Possible tactical voting thinking ashley will not be in the competition for that much longer?. Away you go. Ashley should def have been saved. She is much more expressive in this, she uses hand movements, she looks up when Fran sings about the flare up in the sky. She was the right choice 100% and ALW knows it. Not to save a fave later on either but so she can win him over in the upcoming weeks.

Sad that Fran is out as I would have had Sam, Sarah or Keisha in the bottom. Sam shouted through the tv, Sarah had a black dress onto appear to have changed and Keisha just done nothing for me

I'm an Ash fan and as much as it pains me to say it I think she should have gone. I think that its all tactics by him so that if it were Ash and one of his faves in the bottom he could save a fave- and after what he said about Ash she is not his fave by a long stretch- it just annoys me that Fran was a pawn in his game because she was brilliant too. Heres hoping she gets the recognition she deserves.

i agree 100%. poor fran had to suffer this week who will be next? although i've never been a huge ashley fan, i also feel sorry for her because she will get booted off when she doesn't stand a chance against alw preffered 'nancy' of the week. hopefully things will turn out good for fran because she has a great deal of experience as a supporting cast member, so maybe now we will see her as a leading lady. i certainly hope so anyway.
