God what the fuck has this country become. Under law you have the right to free movement unless being detained or issued a citation for a violation. That does not mean they can set up a check point to find shit wrong and stop free movement. Safety checkpoints and other checkpoints that result in criminal charges are unconstitutional and should be banned.

safety check point for trucks, weather you violate the traffic law or not your still going to get pullover and be asked for license, if you drive allong the I10 in new mexico, every drivers of the cars has to be pulled over at check point and the office will ask for Driver License not only to make shure there license drivers, also to make shure there not illegals immigrants.

sociopath, sadly, these are constitutional. In 1990, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that checkpoints in the U.S. are permissable (5-4). Look into it. These so called "safety" checkpoints do indeed violate the 4th amendment, however, in 1990, the Supreme Court ruled them constitutional. The judges ruled that it does violate the 4th amendment to a mininum degree, but they "are necessary". I don't think the U.S. constitution should be violted to any degree. Americans are losing their civil liberties.
