So im looking into buying a bike im on a budget will be saving for a bit mt budget is around 2000.... So the big question is does anyone have a good suggestion for a starter bike for a 6 foot 3 19 year old thats wanting to ride?

@BrandonSontagDrums 4 years ago now, I bought a 97 kawasaki ninja for around 2,000. You could get a newer bike for that much now, maybe a 2001. Good starter bike, since I laid it over a couple times. Ive since upgraded to a 2006 gsxr :D

@5had0wL1nk i would highly suggest not getting a 600cc as a first for your safety. I bought a sv650s for 4000 and just sold it for 3900....lost 100 bucks for not doing hundreds of damage to my dream bike...completely worth it

I just thought i would give you a little advice from some experience i have. Nothing satisfies the urge than going 60 around a 25 mhp corner with your knee down and scraping the pegs with sparks flying instead of going 200mph. Just want you to be safe brother, you will crash or drop your first bike anyhow though; everyone does or they lie.

changing to a bigger sprocket in the back gives you more low end torque. advantages-easier to bring the front end up with less gas- disatvantages- lower top end speed with higher top end rpms

more low-end power, less high end. smaller front/bigger rear sprockets give you more low end power (eg torque multiplication) as opposed to larger front/smaller rear to give you more top end (speed). power isnt created or taken away by sprockets, it's just a matter of how it's applied through gearing
