@Blinkwing Doubt that'll happen anytime soon. His recent patches fucked up the PC version way too much, I would hope Newman'd be focusing on that instead of a port for the time being. Otherwise he's blatantly giving the finger to his current customers, which isn't cool.

I don't get the complaints about HL2 being old - it's just like a band releasing back-catalogue on a new format. If they've gone to the effort of tooling up for Mac dev, they'd be incredibly dumb not to do so. I fully expect them to start doing much closer Mac releases for new games,.

They report that windows users get 500% more crashes - though they've had 5 years longer to get it right!

Now Nvidia need to get on the case with their crummy Mac drivers.

Valve, it's all cool that you bring HL2 to the Mac only 5y or so later. Really I am happy for you, porting source must be a real achievement and I am sure it means a lot for the future games you will bring to the market.

However, Portal and HL2 are just *so* passé. If you want us to really care and actually play some of this *new* releases, better make it TF2. Come on.

Also the thing that is really wrong about this commercial is that those Combine should have shot Alyx, they should of had the Metro Police chasing her down with stunsticks. Maybe after she throws the crowbar they could have hit her in the back of the head just to add some comedy to make it a complete parody. Good luck enjoying it with those integrated graphics in iMac unless you have a Mac Pro which still only has the Nvidia GT 120, ATi 4870, and GTX 285 which are priced pretty high for being so outdated. For example the GTX 285 for Mac - at it's highest price $560. Mac = money pit :(
