hey cool vid thumbs up.. what os version are u using and btw how do u put those 2 folders in the bar below, the app one and the doc one, when u clicked on it, it came up with a box with the apps, mine comes up like u were viewing it with finder.

@AnThOnYrox8 thx.. i was using leopard in this vid but it still works in Snow leopard (current one 10.6.4).. if you right click the icon on the dock and click "fan" that should do it. I made a folder and put in Alias' (shortcut) of my fave programs so its not overloaded with unused programs, then dragged that folder to the dock. to make an alias right click your chosen app and create alias. hope that helps.

I´ve just dowload insomiax, then a try to opened and suddenly everything froze and a window pop up and forced me to restart my mac.. and now i cant find some programs that I dowloaded before. :s

@juanmiguelpequin damn sorry dude, is it cos you're using snow leopard? this is quite an old vid, think i was using original leopard 10.5, dont think insomniax updated it for snow leopard. my apologies, hope you managed to fix it... Im using another app called "caffiene" now which does the same thing. thx for mentioning.

I would heavily advise you not to play around with the fan speeds. I have seen many people waste thousands of pounds doing so. If the fans aren't doing the job on their own, you need to replace them. Nice vid tho ;)

The Ms office is that the 08 version. i heard that it is the only office version that works on any macs. just wondering because i just got a mac and a bit unsure about stuff. But excellent videos including the beginner ones!

yup ms office 2008 is the one you need. its the best office suit and makes moving between windows and macs a breeze.

u forgot to add perian, audacity, liquid cd, burn, sunflower, paint, neoOffice and gimp wich r free for mac.

perian is number 17. didnt forget them just decided not to because premium stuff is usually better. i have cs4, ms office and toast so havent really used the software u named. thanks for your input tho. might try burn in the future.

i'm having trouble changing icons for programs like adium and itunes, because they don't appear in liteicon

is there something i'm not doing?

For icons that cant be changed using Liteicon then try this:

1) copy (apple+c) the icon (.icns file)

2)navigate to your applications folder.

3)Right click your application (itunes in this case) and click get info.

4)highlight the icon on the top left by clicking it (should highlight)

5)then paste (apple+v)

6)remove and replace icon on your dock and it should work.. hopefully. hope that helps.
